Imagine that. I'm not buying a season ticket due to being at uni for most of the year, but Block 14 is where all my friends sit. Pointless me coming to games if I can't sit with them!
Really? I thought the main point of going to the games was to watch the City. I've managed to enjoy games without my friends being there.

Why doesn't everybody who wanted to sit that side by the away fans buy matchday tickets in the blocks on the other side (1,2 etc) and spit roast the away fans?

Ah that's why then.

In reality it's one of those things where fans think they can't be blamed for anything, if everybody just sat in their own seats there wouldn't be this issue. Can't really blame the stewards for that, even if they checked tickets people would moan about how it was pointless and people who weren't meant to sit there would sneak over anyway if they really wanted to.

I agree with this but why take them off sale now? Surely if people read the article and decide they want to sit there that much, then they can buy a season ticket but now they don’t even have that option?

Maybe they have only just been told by the powers that be?

Stewards can check on entering but cant surely check everytime people return from bar and toilets etc. Unless the extra stewards will do that.
If we ever get a long term deal at the Ricoh we should push for proper standing only areas. This should sort it.
Not sure the best position to do this as the corner is not the best place for a prestige investment. If we can get to the Championship perhaps the back 10 rows of the Higgs stand should be converted.

Other issue is for people in block 17 and 18. A lot of families have season tickets there.

I can't see those people being happy with the influx of the more rowdy fan on the piss?

Would have thought the club would have an input to the safety committee, what ever it’s called.
Can’t see how they can stop people just coming over through the top seats so whoever made this decision, it’s a poor one to manage.

I know it's harsh but that's what the Family Zone is for.

The Family Zone should be kept to families only (little swearing etc etc).

Good to see you getting on it as quick as possible.

You know full well who make the decisions, else you wouldn't be posting.

Block 20 takes a bit of starting but if it’s going okay we try.
Always tend to follow those on the left of us though.

Certainly, but I know some families like to sit there as you can join in with the atmosphere but aren't sat within the Chav seats.

For this to work they'll need tight enforcement of seating otherwise people will simply move across from other blocks. Maybe the stewards will have to do more than say 'sort it out amongst yourselves' this time...

I know what you mean. Think it's more of an "at your own risk" on other blocks.

Even so, if people are acting like twats to the point it upsets families you would like to think they would have a bit of sense and/or it would get sorted.

Do they still have that number you can text to report stuff?

There is one for racism, but I'm not sure if that's the same one for anti-social behaviour.

I'm sure there was one but it seemed to fade off and not get mentioned much.

Not drunk, but standing is far better for atmosphere.

If it stuck in them past I guess

But I am perhaps trolling a little. I do like the sound block 14 make a but I like to sit away from the inhabitants. Hopefully a compromise can be worked out.

As a season ticket holder in Block 16, I’m really disappointed I won’t be able to occasionally bring friends and family by buying available seats for them near mine. I do go to watch the football first and foremost, but I love introducing friends to football and taking younger and older members of the family who can’t go every week.

I look forward to the club telling me how my 90 year old Grandma can come to her annual Christmas game and sit next to us. And no, moving our seats is not the option I want to hear.

It's from when they moved here not about this. Just another example of them breaking every promise they've made regarding us.

It just shows how people will go mad at the club about it even though it's out of their control. It's exactly why other parties can do as they please and sit back and watch the club get all the hassle.

1. Should we blame the fans who spoilt it for everybody else by refusing to move? No
2. Should we blame the people who made the decision? No

They should at least make it so only season ticket holders can buy extra in those blocks so people aren't being split up.
