We understand Preston are on the verge of completing the signing of Coventry midfielder Tom Bayliss.
The England Under-20 international is due at the Preston training ground today to undergo a medical and personal terms have been agreed with Bayliss.

It`s a weird one. I genuinely think you would struggle to say he had one good game last year. Having said that you can tell quality wise he was way ahead of anyone. I lost count of the amount of times he put Thomas in with a measured pass behind the fullback. The clubs owners said they would cover the costs of the move (as they should as they are the ones wanting to continue gambling on court action). Not sure you can now say we had to sell players because of it. To be honest both sales seem more like managed football decisions than things forced on us by the move.
I'd always be prepared to gamble, as long as the sell-on clause is right. Eventually, one must come off for us!Don’t think it’s a bad fee but could have got more.
