Just hate playing lower league teams in the Cup at home. No more than 8K home fans with a full away end full of giddy day-trippers singing 'your support is fucking shit' for 90 minutes.
Disagree, ties like that are why it's a special competition. Would much rather a novelty tie than something like PNE v Huddersfield

A bit of a mixed reaction on the Wrexham fans forum site.

Wonder if Kyle McFadzean has ever faced Callum McFadzean in a competitive match before. Spicey

Equally that win against Stoke was brilliant

But that's the complete opposite of this game. We were league 2 playing PL opposition, decent crowd and rocking atmosphere. It's not that I don't get the romance, just don't want to be hosts to a big underdog. Those games are never fun.

Some of the Wrexham responses are hilarious. They are a good club and have a great fan base but come on. They'll bring a lot but it's a worse tie for us.

Good draw, they will fill the away end fancy a 15k gate should put about £150k in the bin or Joys handbag, BUT dodgy non-league opposition again our Achilles heal in times gone by.

Tricky old tie that, they’ll probably have more there than us

Can see it being on the box, TV stations love Wrexham

Fully expect the club to close blocks 14 and 15 like they did in the FA Cup last season. It's going to be excrutiating. BBC commentators will be making constant references to how it is like a home game for them.

They won't close it.
