Sisu have clearly said they are not staying and won't stay and have constantly and consistently said they are moving out and into a new stadium.
I cannot see what the fuss is about. Wasps to my mind should rip out every sky blue seat and replace them and demote the CCFC badge to that of a bit part player.
As I say, our owners have said they are not staying. I am not ouraged or indeed surprised and for me the Sixfields move was a thousand times worse. When we moved there the talk still was of us not coming back. 'That ship has sailed' if you recall.
If we didn't come back to the Ricoh I think we would have been at Northampton for a number of seasons. Sixfields was 34 miles away in a different county. I don't see how this can possbly be worse. We are playing in Coventry and let's not forget that.
Surely people aren't suggesting that playing 34 miles away is a better situation than playing in our home city?
I have no problem at all now with any of this. Sisu have quite clearly stated time and time again that we are not staying at the Ricoh anyway.
We are going. Wasps should therefore change the seats, move the badges, rename the stands and bars and do as they please.
The right and proper thing to do.
Otis common sense.
Unlikely to go down well though
Saying they should rip out and replace all the seats is common sense? Maybe it makes sense for a Wasp fan to say such a thing and maybe it makes sense from a Wasps perspective to do it. But for a CCFC fan to say they should do it, that makes no sense at all.
I wonder how much it would cost to paint the sky blue.panels outside black?
Of course, Wasps own it they can do whatever they want with it. I just don't see why they bullshit about it when coming in?

What bullshit though?
Surely it would only be bullshit if they did all this if it were in conjunction with CCFC saying they want to stay. If we said that then it would indeed be bullshit.
Where is the bullshit when the football club say they have no intention of remaining here? Not bullshit at all surely?

Me too. This is far more depressing than the Sixfields debacle

Funny that but you had no problem when you went to shitfields with all the Northampton shit around the ground. The problem is if the escalation gets worse. Wasps seats and wasps promotions in the concourse will not be long away. I will find it difficult to attend if this occurs.
A contender for the stupidest post ever. Which is saying something for Sky Blues Talk.
Sorry otis but the club owning 50% share with wasps is a partnership, otherwise the we are just a junior tenant and an opportunity to make money for wasps.
The more heavily wasps branded it becomes the more we will look and feel like a junior tenant. For me any long term rental deal has to have the opportunity to buy 50% (not 49%) back from wasps be that a 5 years, 10 years, 15 years time. Otherwise we're just threading water at the Ricoh struggling like we have done the last 9-10 years, and it massively hampers the prospects of getting decent owners in the future.
I am not ok with this, this hurts. It was built for us and the 3 parties that should have our best interests at heart have shat on us from a great height.
I hope wasps fail, I will cheer on every loss, I will not attend a wasps game, they are not a midlands club let alone a coventry one.

Not as stupid as your post and facebook page for Coventry Wasps.
And further on i qualify why I think it is worse. Just because you're a wasps fan boy.

Sorry Stu, but I think you are slightly missing the point. When Wasps talked of a partnership they obviously weren't talking in terms of a literal partnership, but more in terms of in offering an olive branch and in wanting to work together. They weren't talking in terms of actual ownership, but just that of wanting CCFC to feel like it was a joint venture for both parties and for CCFC to still feel like they are home.
It was a friendly gesture that's all and that's what I am talking here. Wasps have said they want Coventry City to feel like it is still home for them.
Coventry City though have said that they have no intention of staying and that is why I can't see what all the fuss is about on this thread.

It already doesn't feel like home to me, and the thought of seeing all of the wasps logo's and branding on Saturday is going to hammer it home (pardon the pun).
Unfortunately, that may lead me to not have a season ticket next year.
And it all boils down to whether you believe the new stadium bollox or not. Seems people (not necessarily you) change their stance on whether Fisher is lying or not, depending on the argument.
Ccfc go to Sixfields - they're never going to build a new stadium
Wasps buy ACL - ccfc are going to build a stadium so everything fine and dandy.

Gay banter aside, surely what is left of the CCFC fan base should focus all their efforts now on establishing whether the new stadium is fact or fiction. No use banging on about Wasps, Queen Ann, pretending it was okay to go to Sixfields or any other deflection tactics - Nick, Grendel, Rob_S and the rest of the "Journalist Faction" should be demanding answers from SISU.
Common sense again Otis.
Where have they lied or told bull shit

It is not our stadium it is theirs. (Unfortunately)
SISU failed to broker a deal, they chose a distress route, they read the market incorrectly; I suspect they just didn't have the money.
Now all this stuff about Wasps bullshit, sounds like sour grapes. Because I blame SISU for still bullshitting about a new stadium, so we won't be tenants for long. If you believe in SISU what Wasps do to their stadium is of no consequence.
I notice some people reference the move to Northampton as a one year temporary deal. No it was not! It was an open ended deal which could have been a permanent move away from Coventry.
My stance is simple: I was born and raised in Coventry, I support Coventry City and Coventry Rugby. I have also lived in Sheffield, Liverpool and Manchester....if I wanted to change horses I could have years ago. I am a Coventry person I will not be supporting Wasps, I would go and support Earlsdon or Broadstreet before them. But if local people want to support Wasps that is up to them. I objected and didn't go to Northampton, but I said if people want to go that is up to them.
Yes, it is more difficult for us now...so SISU what's the plan and show us the progress because you as owners have played the biggest part in bringing us to this juncture?
