Our tomatoes are coming on but still quite few weeks before we get any - beans are getting a hammering from slugs - have spread grit everywhere but the fuckers still persist

Get some copper tape down. Worked wonders in my garden. Only a few quid of Amazon.

Wonder if that gives off some oxide like used in wood preservation?

I've just read up on it, apparently it reacts with the mucus and causes an electric shock to the animal.

Decided to pick all my strawberries and make some jam with them this afternoon. I made in the region of 3 litres of Jam which should keep us going for the rest of the year,

This morning picked just over 2 kg strawberries from my plants but they're now finished for the year. In total had about 3.5 kg. Which I'm incredibly pleased it.

Had a bit of a disaster with my lettuce, I've grown the variety I don't like by mistake, so they're being sacrificed to keep the bugs away from the other stuff.
