Have wasps replied to the letter in October do we know?

Last statement from Eastwood I remember was this one:

Despite significant progress being made in the discussions, we have unfortunately been unable to reach an agreement with the owners which, putting aside the complaint to the European Commission, would deliver the fundamental principle that there would be no further proceedings about the ownership of the Ricoh Arena.

Who is Lies Reid?

He is Tim Kalns. Former secretary of Cov Utd ex unelected trust board member and a close friend of Dave Johnson - created a sky blue Phoenix group and no doubt still doing trust communications through his absurd parody accounts

I do find it odd that if people have read the statement they still find it difficult to understand the underlying sentiment i.e. all sides have to be called out and find a way forward.

I don't think Les Reid's approach has helped us in this regard mind you (although it has started discussion)

That’s how I saw it too. At least he’s a fan and attends games I suppose. It’s his article and our statement is part of it and shown in full

I think we need to maintain focus here. Are we looking at whats best for CCFC or just targeting the trust and point scoring?

Lets try and stay focused on promoting our statement rather than trying to make them look stupid. They can do that themselves. It will sort of undermine our stance with all the mud slinging.

LOL JOKES- Burn them all.

We didn’t call out all parties. The council got away with it a little

To be honest, I emailed Duggins and they’ve effectively washed their hands of it. Going forward the council aren’t players in this.

it’s a deal between 2 private companies
CCC will be players in this if the EU state aid regulations have been breached
and it will then be between two parties,CCC and Wasps
CCFC have no part in any of that

Great, will listen in - feels like we have some momentum :). We also need somebody to be on Friday's CWR phone-in to follow on from you two weeks ago and me last week. Any volunteers to put the case again?

That’s not our problem as you’ve pointed out. We’ve just got to get the club back to Coventry and moving forward.

of course if we can get the clause dropped A SISU better not bollock it up

Exactly. As much as CCC might want to wash their hands of it, this will not be an option if the European Commission decides that state aid regulations have been breached. Does anyone have any information on when the EC investigation into the CCFC complaint is likely to be completed?

Again that’s not in our remit is it? If it was removed and some other reason was found and this wasn’t legitimate then all would know which organisation was stopping us playing at the Ricoh. Think the pitch may be an issue but again what can we do about that?
