Can’t play good football on this pitch. Have to go long but we don’t have the players, particularly compared to them. Thomas coming on wouldn’t make much difference as he couldn’t carry the ball.

Horrible pitch but that has nothing to do with our game plan. Where's our width? We are not closing them down quickly. Yet we are clearly looking capable at times. We need to pick it up the pace. The ball has been like a ping pong ball and the sticky pitch needs fast paced balls to feet.
