Yes, three years in Alba, near Turin. Also visited all the places you lived in. Loved Palermo.
However, bot, living in Italy gave me direct insight into the nature and practice of hypocrisy.

How on earth can we as a city support this Wasps takeover? How hypocritical of us to openly accept franchise sport, something we fought so voiciferously to oppose. It is absolutely disgusting what has happened to OUR home, something i will never agree with or even crack a smile about.
We all stood on the hill to protest about a 35 mile relocation, Wasps fans have got more than double that to get here, are we forgetting that? Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers and Worcester are all nearby, 2 of them far bigger clubs than Wasps. There will be no midlands fanbase and i doubt after 3 games only a select few will travel up from london. no fans, empty stadium and i for one will not accept them trying to reach out into my community.
To be quite honest it doesnt matter who is to blame for the takeover by Wasps, some people on here believe it is a good thing. Our city has its own rugby club, a rugby club we should all at least armchair support. I am dissapointed with the council, they arent acting in the best interests of the elecorate and not acting in the best interests of the city. They should focus more time in supporting the clubs they already have, rather than inviting franchise teams here. Im not a fan of sisu by any stretch of the imagination, actually on the contrary but they dont make decisions on behalf of the city. Stupid hedge fund people can afford to play games. I expected better from my local authority.

As for your high horse, I was perhaps being a bit harsh and never meant any offence.
No offence taken and Fair Play to you. Good Points well made. I think though that if they had known the Wasps deal was so close they would have blown the lid on it as you say, stirred up the shit. Things have been locked down pretty tight in the discussions given that Cov Rugby were in the dark and, something not asked but I suspect, that The Higgs side weren't even fully up to speed until late on, hence their delayed response. Maybe not though, we can play what if all night long I guess.
The facts remain. A commercial entity not related to Coventry in any way now controls the day to day operations and is the landlord of the home of our Club. There are no hard decisions to make about what side to support now in terms of wanting what's best for CCFC. It's a fair rent, the revenues on the income we attract to the Ricoh and political support to enable a future new build that the football club can own and enjoy the full revenues from - on the proviso that a business and investment plan is provided that proves this would work and not inflict (another) white elephant on the City.
I love Turin, for Italian standards it's a very cosmopolitan city. For some reason the northerners don't like it, i'm not sure why.haha, fair play, the northerners are some of the biggest hypocrites I have ever met. Numerous times I got into arguments with them about the south...I ended up with una bella ragazza from the deep north, so I guess that makes me something of a hypocrite as well!

In total agreement, however I do not like rugby and never will so why would I go and watch it? That's what I meant by the comment. I am a ccfc season ticket holder so don't fucking comment on my support. After this franchise club making a base in our city you'll now see me at the butts with a rugby Union Haynes manual.
