Thinking about it, we've had some decent games with Birmingham the past few years. Always remember when we do them 1-0 at their place, Clinton Morrison or Adebola scored.

Even a 0-0 when the Ricoh had just opened, gate was 27,000 but genuinely couldn't see an empty seat.

Was the 1-0 game when Westwood was unbelievable and stopped everything?

If this happens we could do it with a charity collection for Shelter

I think if we make this it would be a nice touch to have some kind of a "Thank you" banner or message that could be displayed.

Not only would this help to nullify any ill feelings that could potentially arise from the seating situations, but because I for one am genuinely thankful we are able to play there rather than be homeless and kicked out of the league. Further, I have only ever been treated nicely by stewards and bar staff who seem genuinely sympathetic to our plight, as well as the surrounding pubs and bars. Touch of class too.

Happy to chip in if anyone local can arrange this and agrees (the trust?).

That is a really excellent shout!! If we win start a new thread and we need to put some excellent plans in place minimum banner saying thanks for stepping in and at most exchanges of a memento from our club to theirs. Some form of reciprocal acknowledgment that the Midlands football family are united for football not against one another. Two tone stuff or anti racism or whatever really

Normally yes, but there was that time we had to beat Blackburn in a replay, to ensure we would play Chelsea at home in the next round.

This has the potential to be a unique (in a positive way) atmosphere. I’ve enjoyed the atmosphere at St Andrews, it’s nowhere near as negative as the Ricoh. Probably because the fans who attend want to get behind the team, regardless of politics. Therefore I think the atmosphere between the two would be light hearted.

My concern is the day trippers who can’t handle their beer and are staunchly anti-SISU without really knowing why. And/or have the whole ‘we’re Coventry, we’ll do what we want’ attitude.

The whole moral stance on not going really does make zero sense to me.

Maybe it’s just where I sit at St Andrews but I find the attitude of a lot of people is far more negative than anything I experienced at the Ricoh. This is despite doing so well this season.

Blues fans are at their wits ends with our owners so are Cov. Could be a joint pitch invasion to show solidarity against both sets of owners. Quite unique and romantic really.

Lovely idea re a banner by the way. Real nice touch.

Great idea. If we get through something like that would be a great touch.

Lets face it, as much as nobody wanted another season out of the city it could be a lot worse if they hadn't helped us out.

Anyone else seen the story that they sold the ground to the owner and they're now renting it back at £1.25m a season? Might affect our situation (or at least cost) if we should need to stay for longer.

If this happens it should be a respectful festival atmosphere. I would hope ccfc fans remember the favor that bcfc have done us. It could be a celebration of Midlands football.
Then again it could all get ruined by some beered up twats.

Why would the proliferation of facial hair be a factor in the potential outcome?

Regardless of who’s sat where etc.. you’ll be welcomed in all our pubs. There are no real problems at Blues home games these days. Same as any other ground, drink and have the crack and there’s no problem. Most home games we’ve got away fans in our pubs.

Blues was always a much bigger game than Villa. Wolves also was a big one. I am going back to the 70’s and 80’s

Ah the old beered/bearded confusion? I was talking about under the influence of alcohol rather than the weight of facial hair. Although the two are not mutually exclusive.

If this happens and the media aware then it will be a nailed on TV match ( if we get through)

the football world needs to see good stories out of. Shite ones and this would come across as a big deal in a positive way

I very much doubt a banner would sway a TV company to show a game.

It could be the situation that if Blues are sold and the previous owner keeps hold of the stadium that they could be forced out. Could have a situation where Birmingham will be staging there games at the Ricoh while we play at St Andrews. All hyperthetical of coarse!

Maybe. Still don't think it would be enough for TV bosses to choose it though. Could be wrong.

That Bournemouth Arsenal selection in particular is annoying. That fixture is already played at least twice a season, so no novelty factor for a neutral. Two pretty out of form and uninspiring teams.
