Given that Wakefield has long-term injury issues and Allassani is not in the first team squad, I think we need a winger. It's far too early to evaluate Jobello, but we need some more cover.

1st competitive game in the new season in a new country and different system of playing, think we need to cut some of these guys a bit of slack. Sterling, Mason both had rocky starts but came good. These guys will too.

Would like to see another 1 or 2 attacking minded players in the squad though, think our 1st 11 is ok (with exception of a proven scorer) but think we have less depth to the squad than last season.

I think it’ll be a Winger and Number 10 unless the rumour of the foreign striker is true. Outside chance of one being a right back. Still have until September.

I expect Brown might get his contract terminated. Wonder whether that would open up any scope for us to bring in a 4th player.

I'd like Bright (obviously) and a pacy striker.
I think Hiwula can do a job off the bench, but Baka and Biamou could be moved on.

Ok. As I say, I think he’ll come good. Looked aggressive and like Jobello appears to have a decent touch etc.
However, in comparing/rating the team’s performance I felt his and jobello’s were below the others. I thought Rose looked a little off the pace too but again, they all looked like they could play.
I’ve seen good players not play well before. I’m not overly worried.
Well by all accounts Jimmy Saville had a decent touch and look whats happened to him

While Dabo didn't tear any trees up he made it into the team of the week in one newspaper, Mason had a much better game i think but he has also had more time to settle into the squad. I was more concerned with Jobello if I'm honest but i think i may have been expecting too much following some of the reports in the friendlies. It's early days

Very early days, luckily we have some time before the bigger teams come to town, so hopefully we will get the new boys up to speed.

Agree on Jobello reports from pre season were very positive I thought he looked lost at league 1 level Saturday but yes maybe will take time he was bang average against Southend

I saw him at Leamington and against Liverpool u23s and he was the most exciting player on the pitch in both. Saturday he was a complete shadow of the player seen in pre-season. He did seem to look like a confidence player, head would go down a bit and he seemed to potter about rather than intensity still in preseason, but was quick, had good feet, got the ball in dangerous areas and finished spectacularly (albeit offside) against Liverpool. Although I was really disappointed with his showing on Saturday, not because he was *that* bad but more because how promising he's looked so far, I am still optimistic it was just a bad 90 minutes for him settling in and he will prove to be a good signing.

The annual obsession with wingers...........Here we go again. First cuckoo in Spring is followed by the desperate sound of the lesser spotted football fan demanding speedy wingers. Haven't we just bought two - Jobello and Kast. Do we not have a highly rated teenager in the development squad but about to come through? (the next Maddi-Bayliss allegedly).

On the other hand Fandabidosi is the only genuine right back we have and he looks problematical, so I would go for a loanee at right back while Dabo is worked on. If Bright became available I would take him, because he is known class. But otherwise I would not act hastily like we did in January 2018 and get a couple of duds (although Maquire-Drew has been good for Orient according to my mate who is a season ticket holder)

At present we have four in development knocking on the door. Bapaga, Ngandi Burroughs and Eccles. Better to bring them through

The issue with Dabo was probably the lack of cover from Jobello. He was often 2 on 1 with their Left Back up there as well.

We should probably write them both off just to be safe. How many more chances to they need.
Thought the signings were a lot better than last year all played well bar Jobello but could just need a little time which HE AINT GETTING !!! :)

At kick off, I bigged up Jobello (having seen him at Leamington and against Liverpool U23s)to an old mate who hadn't seen him. Spent most of the game apologising for my initial 'bigging up'. That said, I thought their left back had a really good game. Was disappointed in jobello against him in the air too, as I thought that he should have been able to win one or two more than he did. Hopefully just settling in, as there is a player in him!

Jobello has to replace Thomas who was the best loan we have had since Jacob Murphy - the stats based game is bollocks. He was a huge player for us last season and is the hardest to replace

You can tell Jobello is a confidence player as well. In the pre season games you can tell he struggles to communicate as he can't speak English. Over time I guess it will improve.

No point getting on his back based on one game, he showed a lot of promise pre-season.

I'd also add Sterling in on that same bracket. Castigated by some but was a very good loan. Having to replace the entire side is never going to be seamless, especially when you compare them to the quality of their predecessors.

always excited to see which loan players we land when they’re finishing touches to a good squad. We tend to be quite lucky with them as clubs trust us - it’s a massive plus point so I’d imagine we’ll continue the trend of good loans. Agree RB cover may be necessary and Bright/similar style just so that we have to option to go 4231

Sterling last season took time to settle in and then showed his quality. I think Dabo and Jobello will find their groove but another winger I think is needed.

Watching the highlights from the Barnsley game he was exactly the same for them, involved in most of their good play. I think he's a great little player.

My main issue with Jobello was his complete refusal to challenge the fullback in the air. Most of the time their LB had a free header away. Also seemed reluctant to drive at them when he had the chance (not often to be fair) and slowed down the attack.

Obviously not writing him off, but general decision making and character issues suggest he’ll need to have his balls tickled before every game if we want a performance out of him. I’d rather have someone available so we can pull him off if needed (innuendos left in for effect).

Noticed he wasn’t willing to take his man on
