He isn't good enough for us anymore.

Funny that whilst we played Leicester you were busy watching him.

Like with your politics, you once again qualify as a genuine cuckold.

You should probably stop drinking, it seems to turn you into a total prick. Though admittedly sometimes it is difficult to tell whether you have been drinking or not.

Your obsession with cuckolding is really weird. I think you doth protest too much.

Or a winger and striker. Still a bit miffed we didn’t make a play for Richard Kone.
Why? Haji has scored plenty of goals. Sakamoto and EMC have missed games already. We’ve had an international break and haven’t got to the weeks in Oct-Nov where we have a lot of weeks with 2 games. This is where attrition could really set in.

Frankly, I reckon we’ll see a few games where we’re forced to play BTA-Sims-Wright because players are injured.

Everyone at the club knows the squad is thin here so we just need to get to Jan.

In theory that shouldn't be a disaster given the outlay on those players but it depends heavily on whether Simms can start showing he's worth even half of what we paid for him. His cameos recently haven't been too bad I suppose.

2 reasons:

- Haji can play that left-sided role as effectively as EMC in my opinion.
- It would have given us a genuine chance at a succession plan.

I just feel Kone was underpriced when you compare to the type of winger we’d be paying out for. RW and ST would have been my ideal.

Disagree, EMC is a much more effective LW, he definitely was last season.

Kone wasn’t joining a team to be 2nd choice and to be frank, Haji has been a real top end striker for us this season. BTA has started well and then there’s Simms.

Where we struggle is that we can’t change any wingers or a creative player like Rudoni without stifling the team. Eccles came on and did well yesterday in the context we were trying to hold on for a point. In a scenario Rudoni gets injured, we’re in trouble or playing a different formation.

The reason I banged on about wingers all preseason is because explosive players like Haji, BTA and EMC are all more susceptible to muscular injuries. Over a 50 game season they will get injured. Likewise, in-game you have 3 attacking players behind your striker that we don’t really have any subs for.

It’ll be top of the agenda in Jan so hopefully we can kick on and keep injuries to a minimum.

His last 2 sub appearances have been decent and is more than capable as a sub striker, as is BTA. The latter though is just a square peg in a round hole out wide. He does a decent job but I think we end up playing 4-4-2 at this rate if EMC/Sakamoto pick up injuries.

Sakamoto needs to step up when EMC isn’t in the team and frankly, he was in plenty of good crossing positions and was lacking. My personal view is that we need better if we’re to finish in the Top 4, someone like Raj-Sakyi is.

Simms needs to show a lot more in all honesty but we're going over old ground there. The guy both cost and earns a lot of money.
I don't think we'll end up 442 unless EMC and Sakamoto are both injured at the same time.

I wish Rudoni had a better game, there’s potential in a 4-4-2 with Rudoni on a wing with Haji and BTA/Simms.

In Jan, this a position we need to be aggressive in securing imo.

Sorry which position, a wide forward? I'd agree if so, one that can play either side preferably. I'd also like someone who can play in Rudonis position, there's no one you can replace him with really and we'll run him into the ground.

Rudoni on one ‘wing’ and Sakamoto/EMC on the other.

Wide forward being the number 1 priority in the transfer market. My super ideal would be one winger who can play both sides and another development player like Rudoni who can play all over the front 3.

Rudoni is thankfully a v robust player but if he did get injured, we’re fucked.

OK yeh I think we broadly agree on what positions we should be targeting.

Wish we got Harvey Vale. Great signing for QPR on a free.

Ok he scored yesterday. But he signed last January, not on a free but an undisclosed fee. He was on the bench against us and has made about 4 appearances for QPR since January. Hardly a big miss by the recruiting team?

He’s a good player. Would be a good option for us right now. Good age to develop and has been coming back from injury.

What did they pay for him? What wage is he on? He isn't that experienced at this level. You say he is coming back from injury.

Sounds like a punt and a gamble? If it comes off fair play to QPR.

We got what we got. The constant whingeing needs to stop.

Nothings gonna change till January when I'm 100% sure the squad will be boosted.

We will be more than fine till then.

We have the option of changing system if we get wingers injured. Which was very effective last season. Although not ideal. But let's hope it doesn't come to that.

There's enough in this squad of 22 players (when Lats, KKH and EMC are fit.)

To get us to January.

Lampard brought through youth at Chelsea in his first season when they were under an embargo who all went on to have good careers and didn’t look out of the depth, they even finished in top 4 that season.
Different circumstances here but perhaps Frank can bring through the likes of Kai Andrews here, we don’t really have many others who have stayed with us other than Callum Perry who look like breaking through and we should now be fine at CB now we signed Woolfenden

Was saying this earlier. Can definitely see us going three at the back with wingbacks and two up top at times.

Is it quality discussion? Sure I read someone moaning about lack of strength in depth if we got 3-4 injuries at same time 🤣🤣🤣
Its an overdone discussion for sure. I'm not sure what more you can really say. We see with EMC out we already could do with more depth in the wide forward areas but its not going to change until at least January now so mentioning it on repeat seems a bit redundant.
