Rumour doing the rounds not sure if any truth in it but Simms has played 99 games for us and another would trigger a payment to Everton. If FL doesn't think he has a future here no point in playing him and paying the extra.

Doesn't really make sense to pick him on the bench if that was the case as taking up a space someone else could have.

The 7and 8 million bid for Hughes was probably including the £5.5m we bid and didn't spend on Rushworth.

And my guess is, had the 8 million offer for hughes been accepted, that would also of triggered the sale of MvE for £8million.

Not always, I think we want replacements in the door before letting people go.
KKH was brought in to replace MvE
And we obviously have a bid in for MvE, and my guess is we will accept the bid if we can get a CH for the same money.

As far as strikers go though, it may be a different story, we have 4 first team strikers and only play 1, we are paying Wright and Simms £200k a month between them, so I'd imagine King will want to move strikers out before paying for another one.

Purely my guess though.

The people he hangs around with are not good but he's a talented lad was very highly rated at spurs he's out in Holland now has 7 goals so far this season

I think that’s what is getting people. Bar the goalie we are the same as last season. With wright injured and not fully fit then BTA starts upfront which is very underwhelming. Simms seems to be frozen out which is his judgement call. Sheaf injured again.

This is all true, but it’s disappointing to be leaving transfers late like this. Always leads to overspending and slightly panicked thinking. I guess in some ways having players that others teams are looking at makes forward planning much harder.

I need to take a deeper look for more options but Lamine Cisse at Bastia is a very fun player who would be at the top of my shortlist. 22yo, 9G/5A in Ligue 2 last season.

Played all across the front 3, not 100% sure if RW is his best position. Very quick and a good dribbler. Stoke have apparently just had a bid rejected.
