Mad that we've done such little business as we have really

Weve only seemingly improved in the GK position

So far its been a poor window
It’s not though as it …

we have kept our best players so far ….

brought in a highly rated keeper

brought in a highly rated successor to Milan

strengthened our left sided options

We have also tried ( and so far failed ) to spend over £5m on 3 different players.

I get it’s frustrating and we would all like to see more signings but has it really been poor ??

poor is a strong word as we haven’t lost anyone . (Binks excluded)

I get what you’re saying but I would still wait another 2 weeks. It seems very likely we will be signing 2 very good players . I would say a cb and a striker . Oggy said 2 could be here before derby next week.

Clear we have been trying to spend (large) rushworth, Doyle? Hughes - these deals are far more complex than picking up a palmer on a free (marquee of 3 summers ago)

it’s clear we have issues, Lampard knows this, let’s judge come September 1st.

we could on another day won yesterday and half the moaning/worry/critique immediately goes away.

King is not silly also, he knows we are not far off, Lampard will have told him that also.

additional point to remember, easy saying offload BTa/Simms/bidwell/allen etc - to who? Someone has to want them.

I think the notion that is has been a poor window so far probably isn't helped by the way it looks as if we have millions to drop on a central defender, but still have gaps in the squad that need to be improved, and they haven't been.

I don't think we are in a horrendous position, and I suspect we will see a bit more activity, but that also must include shipping out some players that aren't cutting it. We have too many of those.

To this point it has felt like a bit of a lazy window so far.

Kept our best players SO FAR! Thing is, all the rumours circulating are we're bidding on players and failing. Add to that the almost certain exit of MVE, or MVExit as it should be called, and it really has been a poor off season. I fully expect MVE to go on the last day, giving us no time to replace or use the cash to bring anyone else in.
A good window will see us bring in another CH and a striker at minimum.
An amazing window would see 2xCH, a striker and RB understudy for KKH (based on MVExit).
A perfect window will see Collins, Lati, BTA, Bidwell, and Simms out, 2xCH, RB, LW, Striker, CM.

He does need at least another 3 or 4 before i can reasonably call it his team rather than Robins' and judge it as such.
I think Doug is pricing our deadwood out of moves and is obsessed with people like Jamie Allen not running out of contract and it’s fucked any rebuild he wanted tbh.

I must admit I'm disappointed to still see the likes of Bidwell and Allen making the matchday squad, nevermind the pitch!
We really need to move on and upgrade.
