I think the club know we need another winger, we almost got Matondo in don't forget.

Derby seem to be doing a lot of deals (sadly)...Brewster (ex Sheff Utd) and bid for (Scottish right back) Max Johnston from Sturm Graz.
Eustace seems to be overhauling their team wholesale.
Also noticed Middlesboro potentially signing (right back) Callum Brittain from B'Burn - always rated him, and good value for £3.5m imho.

KKH was better value.

maybe they can some of the people who brought season tickets in the rotten stand to play instead
It's difficult to have sympathy for them. Don't want them to go out of existence, just piss off to league 1 in embarrassing fashion.
As always I'm thinking what could we do if anyone walked away. There's not much but as squad players I'd take..
Bernard
Valery (if MvE goes)
Ingelsson, actually don't know how his season was in general but looked a good player vs us.
That's it really and as I say it's just squad players.

What’s your thoughts on him then?

From what I’ve seen he’s a good CB with pace and he’s good playing it from the back. Personally would have him over the starting CBs at the moment.
Well I really do not think he would be an improvement.

He’s 26, been with a quality coaching environment for some time so I would guess he has hit his ceiling and there would be little uplift we could expect.

I think currently both Thomas and Kitch would be better. So he would only be a bench warmer, and we’ve just got rid of one of those.

if we buy/ loan a new CB I would want to see better than what we have. Hopefully Frank will bring in some more quality, he’s doing well so far.

Yeh he's an absolute dick. He'll probably go somewhere he'd start regularly tbf which would be pretty much all the bottom half of the Championship.
One of those players like O'Nien who engages in that nonsense because he isn't good enough on the pitch.

They have also got a load of injured players who will miss the start of the season.

This is what City and other teams in the Championship are competing with, a relegated PL team dropping £20m+ on a player from a rival club.

This would be a record transfer fee paid for a player in this division.

I personally think if we can get Callum Doyle on a loan to buy for £10m, it would be a steal.
I wouldn’t pay more than £5m for him and Hackney has blanked Ipswich

Has been quite boring tbf, which is fine but I sorta had hoped by now that we’d have a few quality signings all ready to go for the season. All gaps plugged in the squad, no weak areas, some class up top, some leadership and quality at the back, but apart from KKH it’s basically the same team?
Still as divorced from reality as ever mate 👍🏻

How do you propose we fund all this? The team we have finished 5th and so far we have added to it and not lost anyone of any note

Do posters on here think Lampard and Joe Edwards are lying when they say they felt the squad was good?

This calendar year we've signed one of the most consistent midfielders in the league, a young right back who was player of the season at another Championship club and a Spanish left back. We haven't actually sold anybody for two years now.
