Lampard’s post-match interview seems pretty clear that we’re not currently looking at a new striker…
Or are we?

I would take what FL says about potential business with a pinch of salt. We will be actively trying to do deals both in and out constantly. I just think Doug is a tough negotiator and knows the value of buying and selling, probably not as flexible and probably going after real quality signings which take time.

This thread is making a late run for the top 10 bed wetting threads of the forum.

We all want signings but a) I’m sure they’re coming and b) we made the play offs with the current lot, despite a horrendous start.

We’d all be disappointed if nobody else comes in, but I expect we’ll see two in before Hull.

Is this Anthony Hornsby guy on twitter the same guy they have on cWR ? Absolutely clueless.

today comparing Fads with Coady. Totally different players.

Leicester are paying Coady £75k a week yet he think his wages wouldn’t be an issue for us …

I agree. I have noticed how many of our recent signings have mentioned initial conversations were made months before hand which suggests we have a long term plan

Coady is useless in a back 4, great in a back 5.

When he first started on X he was a massive fanny trying to do ‘hilarious’ baiting posts.

Now trying to evolve into a ‘serious’ fan with an actual knowledgeable viewpoint.

Knows fuck all and spouts shit-good luck to him…..

Am I the only one that thinks we need a winger much more than a striker? Haji is obviously going to play through the middle when he's fit and we have no like for like depth on either the left or right.
I'd be surprised if we weren't one of the clubs in for Dolan, he's clearly in demand though.

Yeah a winger is a necessity. Striker is if we can shift two of the current 4

Yep that Seydou kid we were linked to would be a fun addition. Lots of pace and dribbling.

Competition for Tats is a must and I have said that all Summer. And before someone says Rapha, when Tats was on his arse end of last year he still didn’t get a look in. Need someone who is actually trusted to come in and play. Hoping we get the best out of Tats if we aren’t burning him out as well.

Ipswich the year they went up rotated the attack perfectly and had depth on the wings. Major contributor to their success.

Raphael needs to be moved on, he's just taking up a squad place for fuck all.

Seen a few mentions online about us being close in agreement of a youngster called Oliver Irow on loan from Tottenham. Wide winger, can play both wings and through the centre.

@AFCCOVENTRY had a tweet on it last night so is there any idea if it's truthful or load of rubbish?
