Soot on. I’ve reserve judgements on the team, transfer window and individual players until the seasons underway and window closes. I hoped fans would give current players at least the pre season under new coaching/management but maybe not

Lampard will knows what we need, kings spent some cash but guessing we’re probably waiting on one or two outgoings before further ‘big’ signings. It’s the right way to run a club if you’re planning on a longer term vision…we need to know what cash we’ve got available rather than just plugging in anyone. Some on here would’ve bust the club within a year of ownership or would’ve been rushing through a Matty James transfer (we waited on got grimes). Others were calling for relegation a few games into last year.

Look at our last three signings; Grimes, KHH, Rushworth. I mean FFS if people can’t be happy with that I give up
Agree, we are targeting quality where we need it. I feel the Manager and the Recruitment team know exactly what we need. but will only sign an appropriate player. There may be the odd gamble on development, if they feel a young player is worth a punt.

Crikey, the pedantry. OK, to be clear Simms and Wright got nearly 20 goals each in this division. Fact. Also fact is that for two seasons we’ve conceded ridiculously poor goals on a very consistent basis. Our forwards might not be Messi and Ronaldo but they aren’t our biggest issue.
The most important thing is for the team to scoring one way or another. I think you're quite right the main issue has been the defence for a couple of seasons now. Nevertheless, poor Simmo had a very disappointing season and I guess the point is that we have seen anything much to suggest that's going to change in this setup.

We were led to believe that Doug , Frank & Dean , had identified their wanted players , on 2 lists prior to the play offs ?
The B list has obviously gone awry somewhere down the line …..or is it partly that our surplus players , have no interest to other clubs , to add to our transfer kitty ……

Our fan base couldn’t wait to get him out the door. We undervalue our squad players

He was spent at Championship level, but could clearly still be a good performer in the league below. So would Bidwell, but as a left back you won't exactly get as many prepared to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds.

There’s a Derby, or Huddersfield or similar who’ll cough up 250k for him

Its because we go for quality that other clubs also want. It takes time to sign these players

Reading the latest comments I think some people are forgetting the quality of our coaches. It's just as important to build the level of what we have than buying new players.

Jesus wept. 4 weeks to go, still 4 weeks to go and you’re panicking.

Frank did say in his interview after the game yesterday that Kai has shown he's ready to compete for minutes, so it sounds like he'll be sticking around.

Hoping it's the case because he's looked pretty impressive so far this preseason and I have to say he didn't look out of place when he came on last night.

We also need a few outside of the senior 25 man squad limit. Andrews and Perry are looking like good options.

I think the momentum from coming up from league 1 which saw us through the first season will certainly apply to Wrexham and Brum. However I have already bet on the first manager to be sacked to be one of those two, purely on their owners not knowing how accept a plateaue in success.

I don't know, Watford are normally good for a sacking 😆
