Re the keeper situation, I still believe you have to have faith in your number 2 keeper to start games and even have a run of games. You don't have to rest keepers like outfield players. But they can still get injured.

Even if Rushworth is confirmed there is no guarantee he will be able to play every game.

I think what we saw in the second half last night is that Andrews could fill in that 5th/6th choice midfield option (just don’t put him on the wing)…and he would likely get a bigger fee than Allen which could go towards Pereira. Plus Andrews would be registered as an U21 player so that frees up an extra space in the squad.

Perry is 100% not ready for that position. Would be madness to start him or put him on imo.

That's the order in my opinion, you improve by finding better than the bottom end of that list. If Eccles generates money to help bring in quality in other areas or in midfield then so be it. If Allen moves on as well or waits for an opportunity thats ok too. I can see Allen and Eccles going, but not bothered if they dont.

Andrews is ahead of a player who's played 117 games for us over the last three seasons based on a 90 minute friendly against a league 2 side

I think BTA would thrive somewhere like Stoke where he can be the main man. I'd back him for 12-14 easy there.

The only period he and Simms played upfront together, they both gave a decent return.

With BTA, I’m convinced Robins just didn’t have a plan for him. He’s not a winger at this level and it seems that was our plan for him.

Both go. Pereira for Eccles, Andrews takes Allens place.

I’d rather keep Allen and get Andrews out on a productive loan again. If the hype around Andrews is real, then a good year in L1 would do him a world of good.

You can’t underestimate having someone like Allen around the squad because he’s perfectly happy with his role. The rest of our CMs want or need game time.

I don't think he was "clearly" carrying an injury at all. He could have been rested in any number of the game leading up to the playoffs if he was with Simms and BTA fit. Nothing was spoken about leading up to any of the games, during them, or in the aftermath.

He picked something up away with USA (who also wouldn't have called up an injured player) and it has now become fact that his terrible end of season was due to an injury.

The USA manager says Haji arrived with a problem that was exacerbated when he played.

Vik was absolutely brilliant that season!

I think he was slightly injured towards the end but had to play. Missed a heap of chances against Reading at home but to say "he wasn't great playoff season" ie 23/24 goes against all the evidence .

Robins said he was injured for the playoff final.

Secondly - the kitman was spouting off to all and sundry for a lot longer than under Dougs reign. Does the name skybluebeliever on here ring any bells?
Thirdly - only about 50% of what I was told was from him. The remainder was playing staff
