Yes. We've already been vindicated by the elite tactician agreeing with us that a new keeper is a high priority.
100% certain we are looking at a new CF, I do think they are potentially holding off until one of Simms/BTA can be moved on though. These aren't low cost players like Ben Wilson and we can't have them sat around doing fuck all.

He was clearly carrying an injury in mitigation. Gyokeres wasnt great in his playoff season but nothing is said about that
I don't think he was "clearly" carrying an injury at all. He could have been rested in any number of the game leading up to the playoffs if he was with Simms and BTA fit. Nothing was spoken about leading up to any of the games, during them, or in the aftermath.

He picked something up away with USA (who also wouldn't have called up an injured player) and it has now become fact that his terrible end of season was due to an injury.

I suspect the odd construct of the binks deal, which may have looked like a good idea at the time when we thought we were investing in a future talent, makes off loading very difficult now we have concluded he is actually a likely dud. It is probably in binks' financial interest to go right through his contract like Moore. In short aren't we stuck with him?

Who is “we”? The SBT forum or someone that actually matters?

Haji is clearly a quality player but he has a lot of work to do to build up trust from his abject performances at the end of last season.
And this is the crux of the issue. Way too many people discarding wright now regardless of his stats because he upset them by not looking arsed whilst playing through an injury that would definitely have prevented him looking and running like he was arsed

He might have produced more goals and assists then others at club

He has produced more goals and assists than 90% of any other individuals in the league the last 2 seasons. That is a fact.

He might not be right for us in the long term. But his stats being the “best at the club” means that his stats in the league generally are getting lost.

Vik was absolutely brilliant that season!

I think he was slightly injured towards the end but had to play. Missed a heap of chances against Reading at home but to say "he wasn't great playoff season" ie 23/24 goes against all the evidence .

I said in the playffs not the whole season. He wasnt great in the actual playoffs was he? Im not discounting anything about him or his season but you cant criticise Wright for a poor perforamnce and give Vik a free pass.

Pochettino said he arrived with an injury. Do you disbelieve him?

If we keep Allen and get rid of Eccles we have made the squad weaker.
Eccles is too similar to Sheaf & Grimes though. Allen gives us something a little different and he links better with the forward player, but he will be a back up, as it seems Frank likes Kai Andrews, so he will also be in and around the squad.
If Eccles does go, we need an aggressive in your face midfielder with a big engine. Sounds like Pereira is that kind of player

As was Wright
Wright may well have been, but there's no confirmation of that. Just supposition based on Pochettino's comment. Lampard described him as returning with an injury. So...
With Vik, Robins had said that wasn't fully fit during the play offs, and think Viveash confirmed it in podcast he did a while ago.

Allen would happily be a squad player not sure Eccles would be.

what injury?

We know full well the club has began to refuse to provide details on player injuries over the last couple of seasons, yet use transfermarkt as your source of truth?

Haji has been confirmed as suffering from achilles tendinitis which is an inflammation injury caused from overuse, build up of scar tissue amongst other things.
You dont just get it one day, or pick it up with a knock. It is entirely possible and in my opinion incredibly likely it started out as some soreness or a strain that was managed with injections to get him through the play offs, and then when he reported to USA duty it was aggravated further, then diagnosed.

The fact the focus has been on selling and replacing Haji, and not the striker that wasnt trusted to play a single minute of the two crucial play off games is madness.
