Be a more mobile forward then Simms, think he score more then Simms this season and has played in the Prem, altho in a shit season with Sheffield, I think hed be a good signing pal, anyway we're not even linked with him just think he'd be a good pick up
My Gran is more mobile than Simms and she passed last year. I don't think it's accurate that he scored more than Simms though, which again is saying something. As you say anyway, they appear to be in talks about keeping him.. not sure too many of their fans see that as an ambitious move. Maybe time for a reality check for the Blunt faithful.

They had alot of players on loan, their star defender Ahmedhodzic wants out, probably lose Hamer and Souza too so most of their good players will be gone

We did think that last summer tbf but yes i'd have to agree. There are 2 or 3 there (Hamer included) who probably gave them a year to get back up but will now be agitating for a move.

Worth listening to the comments by Callum Wislon though in the interview linked in the football and other sports forum.
Says it can take 18 months to get back to your best, that may not apply for keepers though.

Either way, we definitely need a keeper in.

Exactly, assuming his physical recovery goes to plan… will he recover mentally? In all likelihood, he recovers and all is fine.

That said, it’s clear that Lampard doesn’t fully trust the 2 back up goalkeepers so a short term option doesn’t do anything for us.

Get a goal keeper loan in for a year. No issue if need to bench him when dovins back

However that's if Collins and Wilson go. If we're gonna be paying them maybe we give them yet another chance?

I was thinking more an experienced keeper tbh. Like when we had the Sheffield Wednesday lad, forget his name now.

Young or old we wouldn't advertise they gonna be benched after 6 months either tbf
but it wouldnt take a genius to work out first choice keeper out injured and the player will be benched when hes back

I'd definitely go for a GK loan for the season

All loans have a Jan recall clause inserted anyway so if Dovin manages to get his place back by then it will be cut short anyway

If he's not ready in Jan then when he's ready he can compete to be no.1 again. If he does, happy days

More likely scenario is that Dovin will need to be eased back in. I don't think it would be damaging to his development if he's no.2 when he comes back next year and then ready to be no.1 again in 26/27

This all hinges on the GK loan being good mind

Or if he goes to Newcastle.

worrying times isn’t it

Considering Rudoni put in Hamer numbers last season… we could reasonably insist on a fee of £20-25m for him.

He’s younger than Hamer was 2023 with 3 years left on his contract. We’d be stupid to not demand an unreasonably high fee.

Bellingham is going to go for silly money by the look of it and he's a much better player, (though he doesn't have a famous brother), but I'd be looking for considerably more than whatever Bellinghams fee is.

It would be the worst transfer in the clubs history selling Rudoni for 10 mill to a championship rival.. And that's what Leicester and Sheff Utd are, we are not a mid placed championship team.

If prem comes in then conversation changes, but Sheff utd, Leicester do me a favour. Not worth a 2nd thought.
Leicester could have a transfer ban or points or both I reckon so that rules them out definitely, he'll not go to another championship team simple as that, either way we cannot lose him we need to build the team around him going into next year with other quality additions, however like you said if a prem team calls we will be powerless.

20-25 million easy, not just for the sucessful season he's had in terms of his output but he will get better and better being only 23

The guidelines for an ACL is 9-12 months so it could be as long as March.

Equally, a 6 month loan means the parent club can opt to take him back at the end of the loan which would be mostly likely a 1st Jan expiry. Even end of Jan is within the recommended rehab period for an ACL injury so Dovin may not be ready.

Again, you’re still left with Wilson and Collins for backups which is unacceptable given how this season has ended. It’s an area that needs addressing properly and a 6 month loan kicks the can down the road.

A lot of people’s idea of ‘acceptable’ cover is completely inadequate. There’s posts in preseason that were genuinely happy with the prospect of Kai Andrews being a 4th or 5th choice CM…
What is wrong with that opinion on Andrews?
Are we ever going to produce one that is young enough if the closed minds can't spot the potential there?

Find me one post which says they’d be happy with Andrews as 4th choice

For my own understanding, the transfer window opens on Sunday right? Seems an odd day to start doing business. Hopefully we are not caught napping and lose out to anyone
