Thing that concerns me with Toffolo is that he’s neither quick enough to consistently provide an overlap nor good enough on the ball to invert. Don’t think he’s a terrible player but he’s quite similar to Bidwell in that sense, albeit better and a couple of years younger.

Whenever I've seen him play in the past couple years, he's been quick to pass sideways and backwards without really advancing. Not what we need I think.

I’d be surprised as I think it will be one and Dasilva as back up but wouldnt hate it either

Despite Dasilva’s end of season form he was still caught out by an over the top ball against Hull & Luton causing us to drop points
I'd be surprised too but so far only the Brau, Toffolo and Kesler-Hayden links seem like credible transfer links and 2 of them are LBs.

After all of the shit I’ve given to Dasilva on here over the years, I’ve actually got to a point where I’d like to keep him as a back up.

Yes he is a worry defensively (although has massively improved) but he is a really good attacking option from the bench and gives us something different in those tight games.

I mean it could be we have more than one option and it’ll depend what the player asks are and what the competition for them looks like.

People turning their nose up at Toffolo astound me. Do some ever watch football?

He would be one of the best LB in this league
I can guarantee you have not watched him play much in the last 2 years… no one has.

Long term injuries ca make a huge difference to a player …. Exhibit number 1 … Fankaty Dabo

I’m not saying he would be poor as I’ve not seen enough of him to know how well he is now playing but it’s too early to assert he would be one of the best left backs in the championship.

I do like the fact that he has been promoted before and will bring experience to the team.

So from current information my understanding of the squad for next season will be

GK - Dovin | New Keeper | Wilson
RB - van Ewijk | New RB
CB - Thomas | Latibeaudiere | New CB | Kitching | Binks
LB - New LB | Dasilva
CM - Grimes | Rudoni | Sheaf | Torp | Eccles | New CM | Andrews
RW - Sakamoto | New RW
ST - Wright | New ST | Bassette | Obikwu
LW - Mason-Clark | New LW

8 signings potentially, unless we sign someone who can play both wings or a striker that can play on the wing then its probably 7, and on top of that if we’re satisfied with Wilson until Dovin is back maybe even 6 signings which sounds about right without further sales if Sheaf goes another CM, if Milan goes another RB, if Wright goes another ST
