bang on, it’s bad enough we’ve left it this late, guessing Woolfenden is down to wages and Hughes is down to the fee, just hope we haven’t missed out on Woolfenden going after Hughes,

I think we should signed both of them, Woolfenden and Hughes, get it sorted Doug.

Would be a great signing for Wrexham, I mean he pushes Matty James out of that team easily.

You sure we went for both? Not wanting to doubt you - just surprised at the cash that would have costed us. Especially as it looks like there is no "major" player outgoings. Could be a rare exciting deadline day for us, just a shame it finishes at 7pm!

Obviously spoke too soon about departures

I know he’s as old as God’s dog but I can see Barry Bannan being allowed to walk free on account of not being paid at the rate SWFC are going. Bench option for Grimes. How old was Strachan when he stopped playing?
(He’s the only similar player to Grimes who’d possibly cost nothing and might possibly be available)

He won’t leave Wednesday.

If he signed a new contract that only strengthens our hand surely ??

He didn't sign a new contract, the rumours that his contract was up were wrong but he has two years - according to Turner anyway!

Grimes will play 90% of minutes for us in all comps this year, he is the key to how we play and rarely ever comes off or misses a game through injury.

Do Hull need a midfielder?

Could we offer Sheaf plus £x million for Hughes?

I take it back Lampard, I can now see why Sheaf wasn’t risked yesterday if Wrexham approached us before the game. Fingers crossed he passes the medical

We were linked with that defensive midfielder from Luton, Lamine Fanne, a few weeks ago. Wonder if Frank is still interested?

Heard Wrexham have done a deal for Smallbone so don’t see them coming for Sheaf with the players they’ve already brought.

If we get Hughes and Woolf on top of KKH we'll have spent about £20 million on just our defence so at least people can stop going on about not strengthening there.
