I think we expected a Milan sale this window, if that doesn’t happen Sheaf might be the sacrificial lamb.
If you replace him with some kid on loan from Chelsea that’s not played much it’s a disgrace
What the same Milan who we spent 4 million on replacing? Yet you’d want us weaker with a random kid coming in on loan for our captainGrimes needs to be skipper IMO.
Sheaf to sheep strokers? Call him an Uber. Get the money.
I’d rather let Sheaf go for 6m than MVE any day of the week.
Grimes isn’t the sheaf replacement hahahaWe aren't replacing him with a loan. He was replaced in January when we got Grimes. Grimes is far better than Sheaf.
I thought I'd seen it a few months ago. I don't know whether it's correct or not...Wasn't it an option to 2026 which we took up
Grimes isn’t the sheaf replacement hahaha
Or selling someone who’s always injured, doesn’t get into our best 11, to a team willing to over pay for players. If it’s a loan with an option to buy with how highly rated he is at Chelsea, it’s a no brainerSelling our captain and a proven championship player, to then loan in a kid from Chelsea that’s never played men’s football? What the actual fuck
I don’t think it makes us stronger, just don’t mind selling a player ooc next summer who’s struggling with injuries. Especially when I think Grimes and Torp are set in stone atm. That’s poor recruitment, he’s barely even played for the first team. If you think it makes us stronger you are deluded
Where did I say anything about some kid on loan? What the same Milan who we spent 4 million on replacing? Yet you’d want us weaker with a random kid coming in on loan for our captain
i’ve no issue with him going for a fee like that but we have to replace him adequatelyLads, please stop acting like Sheaf is great because he's our captain. He's constantly injured and hasn't managed to regain 23/24 season form due to this. If the daft yanks want to spend £5-10m on him, then crack on.
For the right money it would be good business , hes been here a long time , hes becoming more injury prone and it could help fund a good more mobile replacementAlso Wrexham will probably be challenging us for the top 6 this season, this decision would be ridiculous and kings most embarrassing unless he’s got a proven cm coming in! Even then I wouldn’t sell him regardless
Actually looked ffsThink this is done, Sheaf and Reynolds just started following each other on Instagram.
I thought I'd seen it a few months ago. I don't know whether it's correct or not...

Ben Sheaf's transfer situation 12 months on from £10m interest
Coventry City transfer news from CoventryLive as we take an in-depth look at Ben Sheaf's transfer status a year after Doug King went close to cashing in on the Sky Blues' captainwww.coventrytelegraph.net
Sheaf is permacrocked and even when rarely fit arguably doesn’t get in our starting 11.Selling our captain and a proven championship player, to then loan in a kid from Chelsea that’s never played men’s football? What the actual fuck
You sure we went for both? Not wanting to doubt you - just surprised at the cash that would have costed us. Especially as it looks like there is no "major" player outgoings. Could be a rare exciting deadline day for us, just a shame it finishes at 7pm!Yeah, i was told bids for both went in on Thursday just gone. Hull rejected and Ipswich seemingly blocking the move, though the player wants out.
Ipswich aren't going to want a player at the club that openly wants to leave, hopefully a deal has been done.
This. Sheaf has been brilliant for us, but now would be the perfect time to collect a fee. We can't afford to be sentimental when factoring in his age and injury record.I think we expected a Milan sale this window, if that doesn’t happen Sheaf might be the sacrificial lamb.
This is it, If it was 23/24 Sheaf absolutely not but he’s not been fit for a while now.Sheaf is permacrocked and even when rarely fit arguably doesn’t get in our starting 11.
If Wrexham want to pay us millions I don’t mind it.
We probably have someone lined up!Would be pretty mental if that happened last day. Leaves us pretty short in CM. If they offer us £10m though cant turn that down.
Window going pretty pair shaped
Unless we have deals lined up , could work out well for us and might finance what we actually wantWould be pretty mental if that happened last day. Leaves us pretty short in CM. If they offer us £10m though cant turn that down.

Selling Sheaf for millions to replace him with a loan would be pretty bad to be honest. This is it, If it was 23/24 Sheaf absolutely not but he’s not been fit for a while now.
If we did sign the Chelsea loan to cover Grimes, could open Hughes back up
Depends.Unless we have deals lined up , could work out well for us and might finance what we actually want
It's all about the dosh. Like you say a daft amount and maybe Hughes isn't dead in the water after all. Decent CM replacement needed agreedWould be pretty mental if that happened last day. Leaves us pretty short in CM. If they offer us £10m though cant turn that down.
Window going pretty pearshaped
