That’s fine, but I just don’t think the player is worth that value. As others have said, I would rather invest in two players with that money who we can develop with good coaching. They'll stop at a point they aren't comfortable and they'll move on if need be, but all signs point to another bid.
We obviously have ambition to go up, the club have identified Hughes as a player with massive potential. Let them do their thing. Saying 'buy 2 £4 million players' is meaningless. Darnell Furlong went for £4 million yesterday and that one is a big no from me.
