Well we are linked with first choice right backs so suggests he will be moving sooner rather than later. I imagine many clubs have an interest

PSV and Fulham are the names i've seen linked online (no comment on how reliable they might be!) but it really wouldn't surprise me if he got credible interest over the summer and i suspect the club is likely to want to make a major sale most summers to keep reinvesting and building the squad. Even if he does end up leaving the fact we are in a good contractual position with nearly all our major players is such an improved position, we can look to really maximise fees and/or refuse to sanction moves now.

Whilst there’s a need for another RB, it seems inconceivable that we’d spend £5+ million on a ‘backup’.

Exactly, looking at his stats on FBRef, he’s arguably a better player than MVE too.

I don’t mind selling any of our players as long as we have a shortlist of players we believe can make an immediate impact to replace them. No player is too good for the club and we’re in a strong negotiating position for all of our players.
