Must be smoking whatever the Hull owner is smoking, 10 million?? Give us 40... Note I'm not saying he's worth 40 milNo chance!

Might not be enough for half a leg mateWhich leg they buying?
Lampard mentioned a couple of times about the need to make the squad bigger (was used as the justification for bringing in Paterson etc) so I would expect to see quite a few additions no matter what. I think he’s used to/prefers working with a bigger group.Tbf I think Lampard might be thinking "I got top 6 with this squad". I dont think there will be as big of a turnover as people expect, other than the potentially big bids for MVE/Wright

Hopefully not quite as expensive, mind. With this, if we are to be making the squad bigger I hope we take a proper succession planning view and bring in others in the profile of Bassette.

I just don't think he goes this summer. He has bromance with Lampard. He's loved here and has started to really thrive after a slowish start under Robins. Why would he be so keen to move, when hed have another settling in period? He could rip it up next year, at 22 time is fully on his side and ours. Just don't see it especially when we have other assets to sell and other revenue coming in.Don’t think there’s anything in this but on a wider point we must keep Rudoni. He’s now one of the players we build the team around. Say no to anything under £25m.

I think anyone who understands football realises that. It is just an expression. There is no such thing as 'free transfers'. Out of contract yes but not free, no transfer fee but enhanced signing on fee, wages and agents fee.
Shit where did I get that fromAgree with all of this except he’s 24 next month.
Absolute madness that you think there arent clubs who would want Wright. Said it before, will say it again, every club in the league would want him.I agree. However, finding clubs to take some of our non performing high earners is going to be the biggest problem we face this summer.
Who's going to pay us the money we would want for Simms and Wright, AND pay them similar wages to what they are "earning" here??
In terms of finances, I think doug really pushed the boat out to get BTA last year, and then he backed Lampard with the addition of Grimes in January, so I'd be very suprised if a major signing spree is about to happen.
It may well be the case that the fortcoming Gyokeres windfall has already been allocated to cover the signing of Grimes.
Maybe we should be looking at the loan market for a couple of options.
And so we should. I think clubs will monitor how he does next season though before forking out that much? The club would entertain bids of £20m+ for Rudi let’s be real
He's had maybe a bit over 6 months good form it's got to be too soon for those sums hasn't it?And so we should. I think clubs will monitor how he does next season though before forking out that much?
100% he needs strong competition to keep him on his toes but also to give us different options vs different opposition. Also for the record I'd 100% keep Wright. I feel like the recency bias has done him dirty. Yes he's been shit since his hat trick but he is a proven scorer at our level. We are going to have to rebuild our strike force but I think it would be mad to scrap it all and start from zero. People say we need to start quickly next year but that ain't happening if all our player needs bedding in. He's pretty versatile can cover striker but I'd aim to play him on the left, seems more natural out there. Him and EMC have that side covered.
That’s what I’m thinking. But everything is in our favour. Young English players with his stats go for a premiumHe's had maybe a bit over 6 months good form it's got to be too soon for those sums hasn't it?
