Increasingly feels like MvE and Wright are on their way out this summer. That’s the model, you can’t get too attached, two years is about the most you can expect from quality at this level if you don’t go up.

Id imagine Lampard wants money to spend to build the squad in his image. Just need King to get decent deals quickly or bridge the gap.

All in could easily have £25-30m if Vik, MvE, Wright, Sheaf and some fringe players all leave. As we saw it’s enough to buy a whole squad but we are in a much better position elsewhere than we were in 2023. With some smart signings I think we could push to a top four challenge.
Think your spot on there, Shame to see them go but that’s our plan now, think if grimes is the level of player it’s going to be another decent season

MVE was always going to go this summer because he is a level above and he fully deserves the move to test himself in the Prem so best of luck to him.

Kesler-Hayden would be a great replacement mind you, has been fantastic whenever I’ve seen him play. Think there will be some tough competition for him though from bottom end Prem and the teams coming down.

If we make a good slice of profit, any and every player is for sale.

Brentford sold Watkins (and a couple of other) before picking up Toney and winning the league.

Reading comments from Birmingham live and watching a video on the viles YouTube channel about KKH season with Preston, pretty much all of them don't want him sold, some saying he should be given a chance in the Prem next year so the fans rate him highly.

If Miguel Angel Brau comes in at LB aswell then it's a cracking start to the transfer window, bring in Olise as competition as he's going to be a top player too.

I am gutted if Milan leaves but I think we all knew he would at some point, I don't want to lose Wright but again it's inevitable he'll leave, however the one player we cannot lose under any circumstances is Rudoni, getting the defence sorted early so we then can concentrate on the forward areas, would go for Gunn for GK aswell.

Fully agree with all this (apart from Gunn as he's awful). I think Rudoni stays another season as well if he keeps improving will be going for championship player of the season next year.

Unfortunately we have to sell players at peak value that's the game in this league. The melt down when we sell MVE (Facebook forum will be hilarious) will be pretty interesting as I don't think our fans understand how it works.

Shit I seen someone on Facebook saying we should never of sold Gyokeres and sold him for peanuts the other day 😂😂

It’s all about investment for me on Wright. If he goes for 10-15 million. Means we could look at a starter striker and back up left winger for EMC. While having some funds spare (5 million striker, 3 million back up for concept). Don’t think he suits Lampard style so while he’s been great, might make more sense to sell.

Vik was far too good for this league and we fully deserved to get what we got for him, seeing him now I think he's more then ready for the Premier League so there was no chance we kept him lol.

Rudoni is key to success next year, we get the right type of players Frank wants then I can see him being better next year and then I think we'd have no chance of keeping him.

Going back to Gunn I do think he's a good goalkeeper and whenever I've seen him play he's done good so would like us to get him, he'd be an instant upgrade on Collins 🤣 but I think we'll get another GK from abroad like Dovin

I don’t think we need another goalkeeper. Wilson will do the job. I’m pretty sure aswell that if he got injured we could get an emergency loan keeper if we’ve only got Collins registered

I think so too, I don't want Wright to go but if we get a decent whack and invest on a couple of strikers and wingers plus a midfielder, as Sheaf will probably go, so we can challenge for top 4 earlier then bloody November then I'm all for it

Everyone has a price and a time to sell. 2years left on his contract and probably ambitious to play at a higher level.
If we can get over 10m which we should for MVE and pay 5m for KKH then that's really good business and money to spend

I understand what your saying mate but for me, Collins should be let go and Wilson be third choice, in my view we need a solid, commanding GK but whatever is going on Im sure DK, FL and the team have targets ready to come in, key is getting it done early isnt it, and I think it will as FL will be keen to get the lads back and training for preseason

Using your own argument we could potentially sell Milan and replace with 3 good full backs and still have half the money left over

You could but its harder to replace with equal quality than sell a known quantity. If he wants to go and the money is over 12mil i do concede its a no brainer.

Imagine he’d want to be a number one mind. Makes an awkward conversation when Dovin comes back. Quite liked the idea of a half season loan for the Orient keeper from Tottenham which was on here
To be honest when players sign their aim should be to be the no1 starter in the team, whether they are Competing with one or two other players mate, if for example Pandur came then he'd want to be no1 yes but so will Dovin when he's back, good healthy competition will make sure whoever is chosen will be playing to their best, always not possible but close to it

For me we need:
Keeper
Back up right back (if MVE stays, two RB’s if he goes)
LB to compete with Dasilva
CB - upgrade
CM - similar quality to Grimes
back up AM for Rudoni
RW to compete with Sakamoto
2 x CF - first choice and back up

I’d look to move on Collins, Binks, Bidwell, Sheaf, Simms and BTA.
I’d try and keep Wright as he scores goals. If he wants to go then add a LW to the list.
I’d keep Allen as squad depth

I’d be amazed if we got rid of 6 and signed 9

We definitely do need another keeper - even if only on loan - Collins is horrific & we've only got Wilson whilst Dovin's injured
Problem is you’re not going to get a decent goalkeeper on loan to sit on the bench. Might aswell take the risk with Collins being back back up 3 months or like I said - have bell as back up and get an emergency loan if Wilson gets injured.

we need a fair few positions - much more needed than a goalkeeper.

First proper window I would be at all surprised to see 8-9 in. We brought 7 in last season and that was just adding finishing touches to a squad rebuild started the year before. If we are selling a couple of eight figure players then you take the chance to upgrade the squad when it comes really.

Tbf I think Lampard might be thinking "I got top 6 with this squad". I dont think there will be as big of a turnover as people expect, other than the potentially big bids for MVE/Wright

And that's one of the reasons we have a SLOW start to the season. 🤔

I wouldn't be surprised if we rotate that many. Everyone fit, the starting 11 is strong and you'd only look to upgrade LB and ST, but the quality quickly evaporates once you get into the rotation players.

Collins, Binks, Latibeaudiere, Bidwell, JDS, Allen, Sheaf, BTA, Simms are all players the club will be looking to move on one way or another, that's before some bigger teams coming knocking for the likes of MVE, Wright etc.

I wouldn't expect them all to be sold but I could see a situation where the likes of Binks could end up missing out on the 25 man squad thing and having to be loaned out.
