If you're arguing Simms is a better option up front than Tyrese Campbell then there's nowhere to go from here mate.

That’s not the argument at all and you’re smart enough to realise that. It’s also a completely pointless discussion because Tyrese Campbell won’t be leaving Sheff U as he’s contracted until 2027.

In any case, Tyrese Campbell has had a great year playing in a strong Sheff U team and scored a decent amount of goals. Considering that other posters (possibly included you) have said how bad Simms’ first season was with 13 league goals because he only scored in 9 games.

Yet this season, Campbell is being held up as a top end Championship striker who scored 10 goals in 10 games… It’s Campbell’s best career year and it’s still worse than Simms last season (23/24). In reality, his career stats to date haven’t been anything special and his record of a 1 in 5 striker is precisely what people say isn’t good enough for Simms (I agree it needs to be better, 100%).

There’s nothing wrong with pointing this out and people get upset because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Now you think I'm discussing us getting him NOW from Sheffield United? He was just an example. This is totally mental tbh and not at all what was being discussed. Crack on though..

While you are arguing it though, he's obviously better than Simms. Simms will be moved on in the summer and it won't be to a team at the top end.

Would be mad for Rudoni to go, made such progression since Lampard came in. FL has said Rudoni is staying after training working 1-1 with him, who better to learn off… only going to get better. Rudoni will be class next season!

Yes, he is at the moment. Unsure if we can get a deal done with that injury, but if we can then I would as he can score goals at this level and would benefit from how Lampard wants us to play.

They should be making an example of Leicester as they have fiddled and exploited every possible loophole for years to get away from punishment

They should be straight in 40 points and work down as whatever they get they will fight.

Woodman is an absolutely atrocious keeper. Preston fans wanted him gone. Coburn isn't better than Simms and Adebayo has had an awful season. We'd finish bottom half of we did this business

Anyone got any ideas on the keeper signing. Not sure if we’d want a loan for half the season or pick up an experienced Goalie on a free like Krul or Gunn?

They are only a few places above us. Take no notice.

Probs trying to find a keeper that’s actually worse than Onarna to improve his confidence in training.

Just like to say I feel dirty that this thread has made me big up Tyrese Campbell. I genuinely hope he gets folded in half at Wembley.

Imagine we will get loan from Chelsea perhaps.

Gunn will want decent wages and 1st team football, loan just works for us in this situation.

Saw the other day apparently our build up play is very similar to the Brentford side that got promoted

So basically we need a striker with the same profile as Ivan Toney - I'd imagine they're in short supply

I was idily day dreaming about which striker would be best suited to parachute into this current set up. I settled on Mitovic but actually Toney would have been ideal.

Exactly the profile we need to look for

Someone with a mean streak would be ideal, instead of that northern softie we have at the moment.
