Wycombe as a whole were diabolical in the playoffs. Barely created anything.

I agree, Luton offered them £5 million up front plus £2 million in add ones when the ex Wycombe manager moved to Luton.

It’s a lot for a player who as you say struggled for form in the second half of the season. Not to mention the step up from league one

Id much rather someone who has scorede in leagues on a par with ours. He has barely scored a goal in league one since december.

Assuming if we sign him or a similar profile, we’ll move BTA on?

I think Wycombe bought him from a non league side and last season was his first season at that level ?

He did and he's had an interesting journey in his short career from non league level to joining a professional club.

Looks the type of player we need. Footballing basics and an eye for goal. Crosses thing is a red herring. As well as aerial stuff we get to the bye line loads. We are crying out for a poacher. If we’d been 10% more clinical last year we’d have won so many more games.

The link is complete bollocks unfortunately.

Would be the perfect signing though

Style of play feels more akin to Bassette IMO.

Seems like a B-tec Kvistgaarden seems like we’ve been searching for a specific type of forward if we wanted Kvistgaarden last summer as someone said cant remember who think it was @Jimmy87

Looks very similar in the way he moves to Godden.

Be happy to get him in based on the clips

Not to dampen expectations but I agree with Boosh, think it’s a bullshit link to drum up interest

It’s the type of signing that could complete the attack. Can play off either side or down the middle and would leave us with plenty of options and styles to pick from. I’m hoping we can sign someone of similar quality.

New Signing
Sakamoto

Simms
Asante

Wright
EMC

Kvistgaarden and Bertaccini names would both look good on a football shirt

I think one of Simms or BTA will be off. Someone to compete with Sakamoto on the right will definitely come in though

Yes i like those options, but would prefer a new out and out number 9 to replace Simms or BTA

Rather keep BTA than Simms but I think he'd have more interest.

Unpopular opinion, im happy to have both. Of course if a decent enough offer came in they could go.

I don’t think many number 9’s have done all that well in the championship recently. The top 4 didn’t really have a prolific one and the best was probably Sargent who is hardly Mitrovic. Could easily see Simms going somewhere and scoring

Yes of course is he …. That’s why there was a stampede to buy BTA last summer when it was well known WBA wanted to sell him.

Let's wait for the stampede to come in for Simms then.

Didn’t we also bid over another team to sign him?

Would imply interest although bet they’d be plenty for both of them

My issue with both BTA and Simms is when they’re both on form they can be unplayable. When they’re not they are anonymous and dreadful. There’s no in between with either. I watched all of Simms goals from last season and quite a few headers in there. That shows he can be an effective target man. With the amount of crosses we put in he should be lethal in the box.

If we really want a starting number 9 its a question of who is going to be better off the bench. For me thats BTA everytime.

Don't get me wrong mate, I'd happily bin both and freshen it up completely but I've had the argument already so will go with the which I'd rather keep argument now.
