Birmingham will be in serious bother further down the line if they keep spending like this tbh.
Their policy is so scatter gun, as has shown. Davies cant put team together.

Good friend whos a sensible blues fan says the same, no thought out plan. Interestingly he thought we were very good sunday, really impressed, especially with Simms also.

Again always nice for bit of balance as we always just view from one side of the fence.

How do you know that ?
Think he means we're top of the table and despite a recent wobble, we're in a much better position to give Manneh exposure to Prem football next season and a pay rise that comes with it. Blues are a hype job and despite beating us aren't going anywhere fast, players haven't really tended to improve there recently either, more flop if anything.
Having said that Doug must understand that sometimes you have to meet half way.

Sensible Blues fan and impressed with Simms sort of contradicts itself

Is the prize money for the Play-off winner not greater than 1st/2nd? They say its the richest prize in football so would suggest he/the club would profit more for a play-off win than a league win?

The richest prize in football is a reference to the consequence of an individual game winning you promotion, not to specific prize money related to it

When you have the highest scoring team in the country, the sensible thing to do is to blow up the entire forward line in January and have four strangers play together instead.

When you *were* the highest scoring team in the country and then your top scorer gets a serious injury and you start scoring less than a goal a game the sensible thing is to do nothing at all and hope it all just figures itself out.

They may be spending a lot but they're not spending it well. Stoke threw away an absolute fortune and couldn't even get a top half finish doing it the Birmingham way.

I know, you're preaching to the choir there. If Blues crack on as they are i don't see it going too well.

Interesting line on Manneh someone has just posted on twitter...

It's behind a paywall but seems to say their manager is saying he's staying put. Sounds like them just negotiating in public again. Certainly seems that they are difficult to negotiate with I'd say.

Well that’s a twist. Maybe trying to get more money out of us to make it more in line with the other team
