Only read the last page or so, but I think this is make or break for the current set up. if we fail to get promoted I would expect a big churn of players and staff. Could see Lampard walking while his stock is high, likes of MVE, Wright, Simms etc will attract interest from other clubs and we'll need to sell otherwise they walk for free in 12 months time.

Esse looks a really talented player, decent start to the transfer window if we get him in, couple more at that level would be a massive positive.
Totally agree it's shit or bust this season otherwise I can see a rocky next season with our top players leaving. Haji definitely gone no matter what but MVE would finally move on and players like Torp and BTA will have certainly raised their profiles along with Rudi despite not performing at the levels we've seen previously will still have plenty of suitors. I think Lampard would move on too and who knows when our next opportunity of Premier League football could come along 🤔

Hopefully there's a deal in the pipeline that comes out of the blue just like the Grimes deal.
A player I'd love to get over the line is Daniel Pereira who was reportedly close to joining us before from Austin FC.
He's the type of midfielder that would add real quality and dynamism to our squad.
I have a feeling whoever it is that there's going to be a statement signing 🤞

Get o nien in next, or Neil centre half and def midfielder… experience and absolute shit house, exactly what we need,
I totally agree I think O'Nien would be the perfect signing. Vastly experienced and a complete cnut to opposition teams. He's robust and gives everything and doesn't shy away from a tackle. He played a vital role in getting Scumderland promoted. Truthfully I cannot stand the guy but he would grow on me and it would be funny watching opposition teams and fans raging because of him. Whilst we're getting him I'd take Dan Neil too who would be a big upgrade on Eccles and I think he could play alongside Grimes and that would push Grimes further forward as another number 10 option.

We should have already got 1 in, we’re top of the league and the squad is dying. What are them donkeys in charge of transfers actually lining up, had months to get stuff in the pipeline.
Not being funny but it's probably not as simple as identifying a player and bingo he's signed.
I'm sure the club are working hard to get deals over the line but deals for players who will actually have a positive impact.
Esse deal is done and we're only 6 days into the window which is a lot better than what most clubs have done.

I’d take it. However West Ham will probably tell us to fuck off after our valuation of Wright.

Should have said £25m plus Wilson and I bet they would have took it.

No, he would be brilliant for us. If we can’t afford Bamford though this is just pie in the sky I’m afraid. Hope he goes abroad for a final payday and not to a parachute club etc

Grimes adjusted incredibly quickly but I don’t remember many players slotting in as easily.

An extended period of time where new players are figuring each other out would be disastrous - just look at the way Robins’ teams started most seasons.

You are going to absolutely combust in the summer.

Really happy with Esse if that's confirmed. Disappointing if we lose out on Manneh to the bin bag hoarders.

Come on let’s be honest all most of us have seen of Manneh is his video clips complied by his agent. None of us have watched him play 90 mins live, we really don’t know how good he is or isn’t.

We do know he’s not playing at our level yet and it would be a step up for him.

Sorry but he's past it and would spend more time in the treatment room. There's no time for sentiments when you're going for promotion.
I don’t think he is for what we’d want him for. Played in all but 3 PL games this season, scored four goals.

That said, I don’t think he’d want to play a supporting role for us, which is what it would be.

To be clear, I'm disappointed to lose out on anyone to the binbag boys, i don't care about anyone's opinion on a player its impossible to have one about. Gifting the cunts 3 points is bad enough nevermind Doug getting cucked in the transfer market by Wankner.

Sounds like a logic based response. Sound 👍

The big concern I have with him too is that he won't have played since November.

I trust my source and I do think he will go on to be a good player and at a good level, but even I think it's probably not the kind of player we need right now to see us over the line.

Leaning towards Blues now then?

No idea to be honest, all I know is that as of last night no decision had been made. My comment is just my personal opinion on the signing whether it happens or not!
Fair. Keep us posted. I think its fair to assume you have a decent relationship with his UK based agent so I'll take what your saying over other ITKs on this one.
