If/when we go up I would hope we properly invest in the training ground and make it Premiership quality. Would also like to see the Academy upgraded to Class 1 status. We could then be picking off young talent for peanuts rather than it being done to us.

Any good players over in Ireland. 🤔
Would be worth scouting the GAA. Rugby, NFL and Aussie rules team scout and take players. A few years ago now but there was a GAA player who trained with Sunderland and I think the GAA player matched them on all metrics - except endurance but that would be very different now.

Top level GAA players are pretty much performing at professional level even though they are amateur and do not get paid a wage. Some players have headed off to the NFL and some have gone to Aussie Rules ... Many Irish players rugby and football would have played GAA at some point.

Declan Rice, Jack Grealish and Callum O'Hare would have played GAA in England. They have all said playing it gives them an advantage. The way it is played in Ireland is way more professional so a whole new level of skill. It would be easy enough to identify younger players and help them develop the skills for football.

I know we tend to track targets for a while and given the amount we were prepared to throw at it, i assume we thought he could step up too. Probably right though, we may have moved on from it.

Woolf might well be sold straight back to The Championship and we could well bring 2 in.
I wouldn’t be against us going for Hughes regardless of what div we are in next year

You want us to sign people who don’t play the sport then teach them football??

In recent weeks, AFC Bournemouth, Stoke City and Coventry City have been identified as potential destinations.

Now FotbollDirekt writes that currently Coventry, who top the table in the Championship, is the most concrete option.

The clubs are expected to meet for negotiations next week.

Footy-Africa reported this morning that both Coventry and Stoke have made bids for Manneh, but according to FotbollDirekt this is not true.

As others have said hopefully we can get him in the door and training with us so he’s ready to go on Jan 1st.

Manneh looks well set up for Championship physicality.
Question is are we also buying the quality of player in Jan with one eye on the Premier league for them to progress into?

Travels well with the ball, moving his team up the pitch. If we get him, Frank will turn him into a star.

Always makes me go off a player when they talk to other clubs. Are we not good enough for you? You’re slutting it up with that tramp Stoke??

There are quite a lot of them that have played soccer or play both. Plenty of never played Aussie Rules and NFL yet play professionally.

They’re a bit closer to those sports though players who play pro football have had over a decade of pro training at the point they break through, NFL picks up from college football and HS football with much wider variation in training standards.

Of course a player is going to look at his options so if more than one club is interested it's understandable you want to look at your choices.

Must be happening - already got the obligatory bandaged forearm - will slot straight in!!
I've just checked with John Harriott and he doesn't think it will happen. 😂

If Leeds offered £15-20m for Wright + Piroe on loan would you take it?

Echoing above as not going to happen.

Wrights having so far his best season for us, so on that point no but Piroe was the highest scorer in the league last season and do think he’d be a good replacement.

Think tho while we are so high the risk would be too high to let one of our best players go even if it was £10/15 million plus Piroe on a perm.
