Could see Lampard walking while his stock is high, likes of MVE, Wright, Simms etc will attract interest from other clubs and we'll need to sell otherwise they walk for free in 12 months time.
Esse looks a really talented player, decent start to the transfer window if we get him in, couple more at that level would be a massive positive.

We’re 100% going to go for it. You don’t have The Guardian write an op-ed about us saying we’re gonna ‘go for it’ and then do absolutely nothing.That maybe so but I think it's a perfectly valid excuse for a drop off in performance with having a small squad to work with and the injuries and illness that have affected us.
I do think we'll spend and that we will go up btw. Would be foolish of King to get this close and not provide the extra funds to get us over the line.

Totally agree it's shit or bust this season otherwise I can see a rocky next season with our top players leaving. Haji definitely gone no matter what but MVE would finally move on and players like Torp and BTA will have certainly raised their profiles along with Rudi despite not performing at the levels we've seen previously will still have plenty of suitors.
