2026/2027 kits

Well away from our own fans our kits seem extremely popular .. watched a video of an arsenal fan saying our home kit is the best in the league

Anyway , this is a first for me ,weve made it 😂Screenshot_20260730_095312_Facebook.webp

It's a nice enough kit. The problem is that fans want sky blue. If this had been a third kit, suspect there would have been much less noise about it.

Or an FA Cup special. As that's the thing is celebrating.

They'd have still sold plenty, and possibly sold more of our standard home shirt than they will of this.

haven't seen it myself yet.
what's the verdict?

It's like Marmite you either like it or hate you.

Personally I would have gone for a yellow kit which is what they wore back in 87.

Pretty much every kit is a 'marmite kit'.

Every single kit release is the same. Even this year's home. The main consensus seems to be towards disliking it but there are still loads who say its great, and it will be our biggest selling kit of all-time.

Only the 16/17 in universally despised by the entire fanbase. And rightly so.

Mark Robins will be happy with the Stoke away kit.

Decent option for those of us less keen on the Sheff Weds vibe…

A nice Hummel kit but completely ruined by the sponsor.
Would have been happy with that template as a home kit

Ptoblem is in person the kit is much darker than that pic. That pic makes it lool the perfect shade of Sky Blue .

Ive been looking at other clubs kits and this season is really odd how many clubs have gone away from tradition along with us:
Brighton
Crystal palace (they shoukd be relegated for that kit alone)
Newcastle (horrific)
Man City ( half Sky blue half white theyve never had)
Liverpool (looks like a kid got a white crayon and tries drawing on it)
Villa ( dont recall them being just claret, they usually have a fair bit of blue usually on sleeves)

I suppose as the sport gets more commerical and corporate traditions will mean less

Just been to the shop and they’ve run out of the letter R for the home kit and will be 3 weeks for new stock.
So no. Hamer, Rudoni, Mason Clarke, Wright, Yirenkyi, Rushworth, Grimes, Kessler-Hadyn or Torp printing for 3 weeks hope we don’t sign anyone else with an R in their name as we can’t print them match shirts 😂

Q

Green and black stripes
Im hoping if I say it enough times it'll come true, but im really hoping for something in the same khaki green of the training top the staff wear

They’ve been done by the sponsor there. No betting companies means sponsors can take the piss a bit. Bournemouth would never have gone for this usually, they’d palm it off to some Asian betting website. Looks like it was a choice between Vitality and a blank front and Vitality knew that and has stitched them right up

I am one of the few people who likes our new home kit - I think the navy shorts compliment the shirt well.

I understand the comments about the tone of blue though.

For me, it's the style of the numbers on the back which are a bit irritating! Overall, like it, we have had far worse.

Personally, would love to see a modern version of our two tone sky blue kit from 1983-85

The style of the numbers? They will be using the standard PL font after these friendlies.

Is their a standard and mandated one? Man City were using what looked like Comic Sans a couple of seasons ago.

..or better yet, try something new rather than the endless remakes.
Over the years we've had solid colours, stripes, halves, quarters, contrasting sleeves, jaquered patterns, and fades. The away kits have also included chequered patterns.

I think the only style we've never worn is hoops.

So, other than hoops, anything they do is going to be a variation on what's gone before.

Bristol City are a club that sticks fairly rigidly to a basic home kit, with only the trim changing. And some of their fans complain about that.
