Yet we haven’t been able to play our first choice 11/have a fully fit squad all season.
Yes, the draws have been frustrating but when did we last have such a run with so few defeats.
If we can get through till Jan still in or around the top 6 the 2nd half of the season looks even better with the injuries and suspensions clearing up.

Totally agree.

The level of 'drama queen-ness' on here is ridiculous sometimes.

Godden and max in yesterday's team would have made a big difference you would hope anyway

It's the draws that will be our downfall - Plenty more to come.
Liverpool, last season lost one solitary league game and finished second.
Mind you, I'd settle for that come next May.

We need to turn the draws into wins and also win away from home.

Otherwise its been a good season so far.

Biamou, Allen through December will be a boost. Hiwula also now available. That’s 3 attackers back.
Godden hopefully in Jan plus some wheeling and feeling by Robins in the window will give us a great push for the final half of the season.

We need that elusive away win. It’s amazing how a mental block like that can become a problem.

Still quite early one team always runs away with it then falls short another just creeps up slowly then wham on top.
Hope we are the latter.

What do you mean? Should people not point out ridiculous points thrown away or individuals performances they lose the team points, just because we are missing some players? The reason people get so pissed off is because of the amount of “almosts” we’ve had and thrown away.

A lot of hopes seemed to be pinned on the return of injured players, Jodi Jones in particular. Not sure I’m on the same page - some players are still as good, others aren’t. Of course I hope he is, but a twice busted ACL isn’t good and will leave its mark.

No, people SHOULD point out the ridiculous points we throw away or the individual errors that lose us points.

However, they should also look at the bigger picture and remember that over and above those 'almosts', we've got one of the best 'home' records in all 4 divisions, we're top 10 in the league of goals scored, we're top 10 in the league of least goals scored, we sit 5th in the table and all whilst we're not only missing key players but also whilst attendances are over half of what they were last season.

Yes its frustrating that we've dropped late points against the likes of Sunderland and Oxford but for every Sunderland and Oxford, theres Wimbeldon and Blackpool where we've scored the winners in injury time.

Everything evens out over a season. We're 5th...things are ok at the moment.

We are going to win in the last min (a feat we hardly ever used to do), we are going to concede in the last min, it happens. We aren't losing many games, that's the sign of a team that will be in the mix. Surely, playing away from home all season, that's a fantastic feat by MR for us even to be discussing this ?

You have unfortunately fallen victim to the losing mentality the club has had for many years. You are speaking Luke we are over achieving.

This team IS good enough to be pushing, if not sitting in, the automatic promotion spots and stupid mistakes/individual fuck ups are what’s in the way. Those need to be called out and stomped out. You can be happy with being top whatever in the league despite this and that, but I want promotion because they are capable

don't agree. Its November. The season isn't over next week. We are in the mix and can still feature in the promotion push. I'm not one in this losing mentality. I think we will be in the mix

Not very likely. We’ve already lost 2. Or did you misread the thread title?

It seems to be the same drama queens who were calling for Robins head last season

I think his point is that Liverpool didnt win the league last season because they drew too many, and that we could possibly miss out on play offs/promotion for the same reason.

Drew too many? or they lost to Man City which effectively decided the title in January.

Nope - If Liverpool had turned just one of those draws into a win they would have won the title by one point. I'm pretty certain they were still top after Man City beat them.

You could say that it was the draws that did for them, but another way of looking at it would be their head to head games with Man City. If they had drawn one more game (the one they lost to Man City) then they would have won the league.
Edit. Pays to read all the thread before posting, just read a previous post that says much the same thing.

Absolutely.

If we're not 3 nil up by half time then so many people seem to wet the bed. The players are shit! Robins needs to make some changes! Keep this up and we'll be bottom half soon!
