As in when I used to come home from the Ricoh on many a Saturday and my missus would say 'How did they get on?" And I would say 'they played poorly.'

That sort of revealing?

If you use the term "they" instead of "we" then you are not a true fan.

FACT. (Is this how trolling works?)

Sad, but then again if you have nothing to contribute, it enables you to still come to the party.

I'm a terrible fan then, cos I've lost count the amount of times ny dad has asked me how they played and I have said 'they were rubbish.'

Even Hitler used the word "we" especially when buying a car.

what makes me laugh, is Nick etc are quick to jump to the sixfields attendees defence.

but there's one very simple question I ask those that go.

why do you support CCFC?

95% will say because they are my home team etc.

so since when did Northampton become a local team?

I support Coventry because they are MY team. I lived in Coventry until I was 8 years old. I moved up to Merseyside in the late 80's when Everton were dominating the league. Did I sack off the Sky Blues and support Everton or Liverpool like all my new friends because Coventry were no longer my HOME team? No, I didn't.

I don't think anyone has to explain them self to you, me or anyone else for that matter. To drag there arse to Sixfields every other week shows a certain level of dedication in the face of what a shite time their club is going through. And for your information I have not and will probably never travel to Northampton to watch Coventry, for personal and geographical reasons but I would never give another fan ear ache for choosing to do so either.

Good points well made. Takes into consideration the diversity of being a fan. Too many on here don't show enough respect for fellow fans. We have all had our own journey, we all have our own opinions; a lot of the time there is no right or wrong or proof of what is fact or speculation.

Sisu have not listened to us fans.so we stay away and send the strongest message we can that we are not happy. People who go to sxfeilds counteract what we are trying to achieve. That really annoys me personally.

I know how you feel, but there were always going to be some fans that attended. The current numbers are not really relevant.

So what are you trying to achieve? How are you going about trying to achieve it? Surely what is annoying is people telling others what they can and can't do based on what they think.

SISU to reconsider there dumb ass move to Northampton while trying to make out it is all the fault of ACL and CCC would be a start.

A serious offer to purchase the Ricoh would be another.

Well you would think there are two ways of going about this to show our disdain of the club being moved.

1. Don't attend and make a statement, such as now and show that 90% of the fans will not attend Sixfields.

2. Go and then protest at the games. This surely though would be totally counteractive to supporting the lads on the pitch wouldn't it? Would create an ugly atmosphere and would not aid the players in anyway shape or form.

The more fans attend the more I feel it makes a statement that the move is acceptable. As it stands there is no proof whatsoever that we will return to Coventry. All we have is a drawing, but no location and no land purchase and no idea where or how the money will be raised to build any new stadium.

The only fact we have at the moment is that we are playing 34 miles away from our home. Everything else is just conjecture.

A return to Coventry should be Ricoh .I believe there is a deal to be done.what they are doing now will never ever work .come back to cov I will buy a season ticket instantly. Carry on with this crazy crazy road to ruin I'll make sure you'll fail .that's my message to the owners an I am not anti sisu I just want MY club run properly

No protests, no banners, no anti sisu chanting in the cowshed.

It just goes to show what a load of spineless jellybabys that sixfields attracts.

Exactly but what is annoying is that some posters feel it is only on this forum.
Go on any football forum and you will get the same divide on various issues.
I personally have no problem with those going into Northampton, those staying away or on he hill. I do sometimes do get dragged into arguments that I should really stay away from, but that is what supporting Cov has done to me.
Miserable,Moaning,cantankerous Old Man..

I don't believe in protesting when the games on but certainly surely they would protest before, half time and after ?
Unless they are okay with the situation and are only there to follow the team, blindly ignoring the situation.
Anyone ?

It would appear so.

They're obviously happy with the situation or they'd make their feelings known surely.

There waiting for Tim to release the new lyrics. But if the special few want to practice .....

Let's all attend together
Pay up, and no boo's
While we attend together
Sisu will never loose
ACL or Council
We'll take on anyone
They shan't defeat us
We'll fight 'til the Ricoh is won!
Sisu! Sisu! Sisu!

You are talking bollocks. Non-Coventry resident City fans feel just as strongly as other City fan do about what is going on.

Many of us have to travel hundreds of miles to home games in Coventry and for a lot of us Northampton is nearer but we still won't go.

well I'm in the same boat, moved away in 2001 aged 7 when we were relegated. Could have easily lost interest in CCFC, but in many ways, made me support them more. I think you misread my post, my point was the majority of people who support CCFC is because they are their home or local team, not because they are an attractive club to follow like your man u's etc.
