The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I read Daniel Hannan's book about the inner workings of the EU (he's a Tory MEP - I don't share his politics by any means). I didn't vote out based on that, don't know anybody who did. Did you know that it is actually EU rules that open provision of NHS services up to competition?

I'll give older people their due (anybody who was old enough to vote in the EEC referendum of 1975 i.e. 57 years or older) they voted us in to what become the EU so they can vote us out again if they want.

People in London are like a different breed. They can't believe that us suckers in the provinces have voted against them. It shows the mentality of your typical university leaver, no wonder politics is a mess. They genuinely think that they know better than everybody else.

I had a fiver on it last night at 8/1.....I never doubted there would be a leave vote, virtually everybody I spoke to (outside of work) was voting out. Just annoyed I didn't put a few more quid on.

The Calais Jungle 'deal', I believe is a separate Anglo-French treaty which has nothing to do with our membership of the EU. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juxtaposed_controls

Companies trade, countries don't. Countries facilitate trade for the good of their economies. If a reciprocal free trade agreement between the UK and member states of the EU was valuable yesterday it still is today. Corbyn should have gone with his instinct and backed the leave campaign, the...

    Ben turner

There is an awful lot to be said for momentum. It's a sensible signing by Clough, they are already steady at the back and have now signed a great centre half at that level, assuming he stays fit.

Venus put player negotiations on hold due to Mowbray speculation

They don't actually. Footballers are not like 'job for life' employees. They sign short contracts and generally expect to move around.

    Matchday ticket prices ?!

The club might wait to see how many season tickets they've sold before deciding how much matchday tickets are. It might be a better way of assuring the budget.
