    Big Sam for England

It doesn't have to be English. It needs to somebody who has the strength of character to take on egos and primmadonnas. It can't be anyone in the 'club' of pundits and players of last 20 years. Like somebody said, Hoddle might work.

    Big Sam for England

How did they end up nearly £200m in debt?

    Big Sam for England

Yes, that brilliantly successful Sunderland team. Or the Bolton team, where he spent way way beyond the club's means in an attempt to qualify for Europe. Look where they are now. Or his Newcastle and Blackburn sides, he left them both shortly before they were both relegated. He's another...

    Transfer fees

It's my longheld view that the TV deals are not benefiting the game. The sooner people realise that by subscribing to Sky and BT that they are effectively killing off the competitiveness of the game, the better.

    Moussa Set For Walsall

Email to Sport England re Higgs application

Not sure about that blog. For some reason it was quite short lived. His contract as a lifetime fan must've ended.

    Forthcoming General Election

Hilary Benn might be alright, but New Labour are not going to be elected any time soon. They're unbelievably out of touch.

    Coleman

No, he was an utter disaster. Should have been sacked in 2008 after that Charlton game.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Remember that objective 1 funding and money from the 2007-13 ESF and ERDF programme was always matched by the British govt. Certainly in the latter, Mersey side had millions..

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I wasn't aware that there were or are university courses about the advantages and disadvantages of voting for or against remaining part of the EU. Do the special ones have access to another set of media beyond these 'papers' that the great unwashed read?
