The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Small? Hardly. It’s one component of many, I’ll give you that but it and security are probably the two biggest single components and the ones that are going to take the biggest difference to the man in the street. Trade is going to effect everything from high street prices to inflation to the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

A bad deal is the worst possible deal and the worst possible deal is WTO rules. It can’t possibly be any worse than that by international law unless we find ourselves under some sort of trade embargo because we’re seen as some sort of rogue state like Iran, North Korea, Syria etc. Any deal is...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It should. But any talks of extending negotiations seems to get portrayed as remain by many. I’m all for extending the talks however those involved don’t seem keen meaning if we leave before anything is agreed we revert to WTO rules and that’s a catastrophe. Leaving on anything other than that...

Hurray. Finally, a Grendull post I can like without a hint of sarcasm doing it.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

No deal is the worst deal for everyone, there’s no doubting that. Which only highlights the stupidity of the saying that some politicians and political commentators keep promoting in that no deal is better than a bad deal. In terms of trade alone it’s a myth that gets wiped out, before you even...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I think you’re quite possibly right. People do seem to be fixated on it as if that’s the be all and end all of brexit. Like you say, it’s trivial compared to things like trade, security etc. The so call divorce settlement isn’t going to be the legacy of brexit, it’s everything else and how that...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Problem is how you measure a good deal or a bad deal. Is a bad deal anything worse than the trading terms we currently have as a member of the EU? Is a good deal anything better than WTO? Where’s the middle. What would constitute a bad deal for the EU exactly?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I know you didn’t ask me but I think people need to wake up to the fact that no deal means defaulting back to WTO rules and that is the worst deal. WTO rules are a default position, whatever deal we get it’s going to be no worse than no deal. So when people state that no deal is better than a...

Club listening to posts on here

I suggested that they do it not that long ago about match packages and JSB. Seemed an obvious thing to do to me given the amount of people phoning into CWR complaining about the cost of attending. It was also me who suggested getting a kiosk inside for a shop at the ground instead of pasting...

    Harvey Weinstein / Sex Scandals

Was reading some stuff about the two Corey’s as they were known (RIP Corey Haim) and it’s truly horrific. Hopefully some other people in Hollywood who’ve been getting away with some truly revolting and horrific behaviour will get caught up with and brought to justice now.

The mistake Clinton made was not lowering herself to his standards (which wouldn’t have been a big step) and played him at his own game. Every time he said that he was going to investigate her emails when he got in and send her to jail she should have retorted with and when I get in I’ll be...

Contradicted where? I’ve quoted figures that you can find on google in a couple of seconds. Not sure what you’re going on about there so I don’t have a clue what I’m supposed to man up and admit.

Am I sure of what? Germany exports more to the US and France and we’re about to be demoted by China to forth of the biggest importers of German goods. We’re not all of a sudden going to stop importing from Germany because of brexit whatever deal that’s on. So yes leaving the EU will hurt them...

I thought anecdotal evidence didn’t count? Besides I’ve met men with that sort of attitude all over the world. Sexism isn’t a cultural issue it’s an arsehole issue and arseholes are everywhere.
