Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

Neither am I, I am not turning on Thorn calling for his head. I know it is going to be a long season battling relegation. I think we will just avoid it this season. People who are overreacting were the ones overreacting to one win vs Derby. I just think the people who think we have played well...

Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

I don't think I mentioned anything about stats. I said it was an average performance but we just deserved to just win. Thanks for backing it up with those stats which show it was a close game. Derby had 10% less of the ball than us yet managed to hit the target nearly the same amount of times. I...

Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

I still think Thorn is the best man for the job and the only man for the job. I believe 100% we are better off with Thorn is charge than AB. But there is no hiding from the fact that the performances have been a shadow of the performances from AT last season. People keep telling themselves we...

Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

Well that's my opinion isn't it, if you think they were of a similar to standard to last season then that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Naturally I think my opinion is right and yours is wrong.

Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

It was an average performance. The game could have gone either way but I would say we just deserved the victory. The performances at the back end of last season were 5x better than that.

Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

Baker's goal came from a long throw and poor defending as well. I agree with what you are saying, the football we have seen has been extremely poor compared to what we saw under AT last season. I still haven't seen what I would call a good performance yet this season.

Anyone else losing confidence in Thorn?

Mcsheffrey's first season in the prem he was a first teamer and played 30+ games. Anyway, I get your point they had way more quality and experience on the pitch than us in all positions.

Anyone else losing confidence in Thorn?

Mcsheffery, Cranie have premiership experience. ROD and Juke came from premiership clubs but I don't think they had experience at that level.

Okay, turning the Thorn thing on it's head

Hmmm...I don't know how Poyet would cope with our squad. But lets be fair that Brighton squad has probably less championship experience than our squad. On paper it is nearly the same squad that got them promoted apart from a few additions.

Le fondre "I was right to choose reading over Coventry"

Big words for a guy who scored against Doncaster who are even worse than us. If he wants to get the city fans riled up for Saturday he is going the right away about it.

Anyone else losing confidence in Thorn?

Wood and Clarke are injured and Mcpake is fit is what I last heard.

Hussey,Bell,Clingan,Baker + McSheffrey Just not good enough

I actually thought Clingan was probably our best player last night. He couldn't dominate the midfield as it was pretty much Clingan vs Bullard, Andrews and Bowyer but his delivery from set pieces was brilliant and looked our most likely goal threat from set pieces. I hope Deegan gets back to...

Summation everyone...how different did we all see it?

I was watching on the TV but don't try and tell me anybody on that pitch last night played "good" Mcdonald got into good positions but missed some easy chances, that is not good imo. Baker was just awful for the majority of the game.

Anyone else losing confidence in Thorn?

I am not losing faith with Thorn but I can't honestly say I have seen a quality performance yet this season.

Anyone else losing confidence in Thorn?

Let be honest the Ipswich performance was the best attacking opposition performance I have seen against us this season. They have one of the best squads in the league imo, there midfield totally dominated ours and we were awful. Yes we created a few chances but that was more down to poor...

    Tactics

Yea i love how most of our fans said Gunnar is no loss, I am not bothered if he goes or stays. I would love to have Gunnarsson back at our club now, was clearly our 2nd best midfielder after Clingan.

    Jutkiewicz

wtf are you on about slag me off now? You don't need to be "very very clever" to realise Juke is a good player and most of the people here acknowledge that. The likelihood is that he probably won't be here next season.

    How poor is baker

I thought Baker was terrible tonight. His biggest skill is his dribbling and not once did he beat his man tonight. I still think he can be a decent player for us if he can improve his consistency.
  19. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Cody macdonald

Yea I agree Baker/Bell and Sheffers are not good or consistent enough.

Summation everyone...how different did we all see it?

Some of the football that Ipswich played in that game was brilliant at times. That was the vision I had for us when AT took over, instead we get side to side/hoof or cross. We just don't have the players to play the way Thorn wants us to at this moment in time. I think the only city players...
