    Clive Platt

I think he is worth a start against Barnsley, at the moment he is offering more to the team than Mcdonald or O'donovan.

    Formation Ideas

We seemed to go to a 4-3-3 last night at times with Mcsheffrey and O'donovan flanking Juke, earlier in the season we toyed with a 4-2-3-1 with Gael and Clingan holding.

    New Bid!!!

I just want all this to end now.
  4. SkyBlue_Bear83

Platt's the way to do it!

He makes himself available for a pass and gives our midfielders a target for a forward player to pass to.

    Ratings Folks

Murphy -6 Keogh -6 Cameron -6 Cranie -7 Hussey -5 Clingan -6 Thomas -7 Bell -5 Mcsheffrey -6 O'donovan -5/6 - Juke -7 Platt -7 Christie -6 Deegan -8 I know stats indicate we dominated possession but it seemed to me as if there were many more long balls than usual. For the first 70 mins...

Gary Deegan and an injection of pace

Yea I think that could work well depending on how Gael would adapt to that role. When Mcsheffrey is on song I think he is great in that role though, I like his directness and how his first thought is too go towards goal rather than pass backwards or check backwards and slow the move down.

    Hussey

Not necessarily in Cranie's way but he was defending very narrow and nowhere close enough to the opposition winger.

    Someone didn't do their homework!!!

Yea they talked to they guy from BBC lancashire before the game and he said look out for the diagonal ball from left to right evatt to taylor-fletcher as it is a favourite pass of Blackpool's. To not be prepared for that was very bad indeed.
  9. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Hussey

There was one incident that really annoyed me today. He passed the ball to bell on the left wing, Bell was looking for a return pass to Hussey down the side of the full back by the byline. Hussey should have been busting his balls to get in a position to receive the return ball but instead was...

Gary Deegan and an injection of pace

For me he has to start against Barnsley, I can see him linking up extremely well with Mcsheffrey. Players like Bell are just too slow and want too many touches on the ball.

    Blatant Foul on murphy!

Yea the OP is referring to an incident which resulted in the corner, Murphy had clearly caught the ball and was knocked by a blackpool player causing him to lose control of the ball. Sorry if you already knew what he was referring too just making sure we are all clear here.

    Confidence

I really don't think it was tbh. People were cheering when they heard David Bell's name before Deegan had even been mentioned.

    Blatant Foul on murphy!

tbh I am just happy we got a point as I thought we were dreadful for most of the game, obviously going into stoppages in the lead you are dissapointed if you don't win but we didn't deserve to anyway.

    Next 6 games

We should be looking to beat Barnsley, Forest and Donny. Draw with Burnley and probably lose to Leeds and Millwall.
  15. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Penalty taker

He miscued the ball and dragged it wide, I wouldn't say he lost his head he just made poor contact with the ball. unlike Juke who struck it cleanly but just completely lost his head and put it about 20 feet over the cross bar.

    Massive game tonight

Blackpool are a decent side, this is why we needed to win on Saturday to lift the pressure off for this match.
  17. SkyBlue_Bear83

    So who plays tomorrow?

I would take out Christie and move Cranie/Keogh to RB with Cameron partnering the other. If Deegan is ready I would play him instead of Thomas, apart from that I would keep the same side.

    Attendance Vs blackpool

I think we could drop below 11,000 depending on how many away fans there are. @Andy you can still take an extra person to the game, there will be plenty of free seats to pick from doesn't matter that specific seats are taken.:D
  19. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Thorny telegraph

I think it was almost a plea from Thorn for more fans to come and support the team.
  20. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Penalty taker

I would have given them to Clingan, I think before he came to us he was penalty taker for Norwich. I remember he missed his first one for us against Swansea at home and he never took another one again. I just think Clingan is not the type of player to lose his head in a pressure situation and is...
