The Departed: ins and outs since April 2011

And I read someone on here the other day telling us our squad was big enough to compete last season :claping hands:

    Richard Shaw

Judging by your name you obviously think Cov should be champion league winners, our centre halves should be cultured dribbling out from the back and playing pin point passes and our strikers should be scoring 40+ goals a season and celebrating our 5th league title on the bounce so players like...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

Gunnarason wasn't really replaced though was he, we had Gardner for 4 games and Norwood didn't come in till the last day of the january window. So Gunnarson was replaced by Thomas/Gael for 2/3 thirds of the season which wasn't good enough. I think some of last season was self inflicted like...

    Jordan willis

Has anyone here regularly watched Willis in the academy side and can give us a report on him?

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

At least the discussions are moving at a fast pace, the initial discussions started 11 months ago and look how much we have progressed since then.

    Tim fisher.

Explains why acl are not doing anything at the moment about the rent being withheld I guess. So after that 500k is gone in 5 months time then we will be behind on the rent, is that what this means?

He said he agreed to stay on the assurance that he will be helped to get players in. People are free to interpret that any way they want.

Westwood hasn't been given much of a chance, he seemed to be playing well and was dropped. I would say Gunnarson, Fox and Ward were no more than just decent championship players, they are top end players imo. On Ward he won his place in the Norwich side on 11th February in the preimership...

    Keogh as good as gone

    You can't be serious

    Keogh as good as gone

SISU were hardly splashing out the cash when he was signed, I would estimate 3-4k. The average wage in league 1 is 1.5k roughly? So if we are looking to sign people with experience of playing for a while and doing well in league 1 I would assume they would be earning above the average league 1 wage

    Keogh as good as gone

Keogh was signed from a league 1 club so I doubt his wage will allow us to bring in 3 players unless they are youth/unproven players.

Yea Coleman hugely underachieved we should have been serious play off challengers with the squad. Westwood Gunnarson Dann Fox Best Tabb Ward 6 of them players are in premiership teams now Instead the wally persisted in playing the likes of Stephen Wright and David Bell

Olly Norwood top of Andy Thorn's Wish list

I think so http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2012/06/05/coventry-city-sky-blues-won-t-give-up-on-ollie-norwood-92746-31116602/ Article from a few weeks ago. "If Norwood did decide to leave United and the two clubs couldn’t agree on a compensation fee...

Olly Norwood top of Andy Thorn's Wish list

Can't see it happening, he is under 24 so requires a transfer fee which I can't see SISU paying.

    Clarke-Harris

All we were told was he was released for reasons we can't go into. Everything else about discipline is speculation.

Saw about him signing for Peterborough a few days ago, a 2 year professional contract I think it said.

    Thorn Eyes Swift Signing

In reality they will be sitting at home giving a sigh of relief as they think they have dodged a bullet in not signing for Cov.
  19. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Transfer embargo lifted.

It is one step forward from a starting point 50 steps behind where it should be.

    Victor Moses

He is very good but not that good to play for Chelsea, powerful and pacy with skill. Needs to add more goals to his game. Has a great physical presence with strength an pace combined
