Teflon AT - a great position for him

I have always wondered and never been able to find any source as to when Andy Thorn actually joined the club as scout The only thing I can find is this link which says he joined in 06/07 but I am not sure of its accuracy...

Teflon AT - a great position for him

I don't think that's the point though is it, granted he has ballsed some scouting of players like Bell but all of the good finds he has had has been sold on. Players like Hussey, Deegan, Baker would be good squad players to compliment a core squad of championship players like Juke, King, Turner...

Teflon AT - a great position for him

I guess that is because people would rather have a strong playing squad than management staff. I just think Thorn has been thrown in the deep end for his first management job, he has had little help from the board and has been given a poor squad and hardly and coaching staff, do we even have a...

Teflon AT - a great position for him

Could have also been the difference I agree

Teflon AT - a great position for him

When you consider the points we thrown away at Palace, Blackpool H and A, Burnley H and others. One more player of experience may well have been the difference between relegation and staying up.

Teflon AT - a great position for him

It was a combination of injuries/fatigue and some bad finishing in the games vs Peterborugh/Doncaster/Millwall Not sure what your point is I was defending Thorn saying we did improve in the second half of the season.

Teflon AT - a great position for him

If we start next season dreadfully I would sack Thorn, if after 15 games we look like being relegated I would replace him. It may not be his fault but there has to be a point where you say lets see if someone else can get more out of the current players even if it is unlikely.

Teflon AT - a great position for him

The facts are the last 2 of those first 24 we won, so you could easily present the facts as Kingharvest has. We did improve greatly from Christmas day up till the start of April where we faded miserably in the last 6 games.

I would prefer a hypnotist and he can hypnotise ROD to believe he is Lionel Messi.

    Another one being chased

Man City and Liverpool looking at him according to SSN Coventry City look set to lose defender Jordan Willis with a host of Premier League clubs battling for his signature, Sky Sports understands. The 17-year-old made his first-team debut last term, making three appearances for the Sky...

    Playing staff

He had a few injuries but a lot of the time he was just not selected. The only injury news I can find about him for last season was he missed 6 games near the end of the season between March and April. Carl Baker missed 4 weeks at the start of the season when he was injured vs Ipswich and then...

    Playing staff

I think the fact that David Bell played in less than half of the games in a season where our squad is so thin shows that Thorn didn't rate him at Championship level. You know how the saying goes, actions speak louder than words unless they are Andy Thorn's words. :thinking about:

    Playing staff

Yea you may well be right but I don't understand how the quality of the playing squad can be used as a reason to criticise Thorn when all our best players over the last 24 months have been sold or left the club.

    Playing staff

He also scored very good goals away to Bristol City and Watford. I think he is shit btw I am just nitpicking now :D

    Playing staff

He was probably asked a question about the extension in an interview, he is hardly publicly gonna say he is a useless prick is he. If we had the resources to replace him, he wouldn't be here.

    Playing staff

You say this is as a joke but it was the board handing out all these contracts to these shite players mostly, confirmed by Ken Deluded in an interview last season telling us he has increased the value of playing squad "If you have got a team and the average contract length is 18-months and say...

Yep Rooney and Welbeck for me, they link really well at club level. I am not convinced with Parker and Gerrard as a midfield partnership and we have no cover in there hardly, missing Wilshere.

Ox is the only viable replacement on the left side, played there vs France and most of his appearances for Arsenal were on the left side.

    Harrison gone?

Our coaching staff is as inexperienced as our team now.

I would like to see Ox or Walcott start in place of Milner and then have Milner subbed on for Parker/Gerrard in the centre when they tire.
