Turned off after he said he didn't rate Gael and he was glad he fucked off

    Reece Brown

He started off nervy in the first 20 mins but settled down later on, I doubt there is a clause saying he must start if fit

6 home debutants in the same game

It isn't as if the team has been put together overnight though. We made a lot of our signings early on Fleck, Elliott, Kilbane, Malaga and Edjenguele all played in the first pre season game didn't they. Brown and Ball were signed about 3 weeks ago now and Jennings has been around the squad on...

Which team? Last season or this season?

For Norwood to be offered a new contract at Man Utd in the summer just gone...that's saying something

Which team? Last season or this season?

You are aware the Leeds game was his first start at home, his only other start before this came away vs Reading. So I am assuming you were at this game to make the above comments?

Will Saturday make your mind up one way or the other?

No but my early pre season optimism may begin to die out already

Will Saturday make your mind up one way or the other?

I agree, if we fail to win Saturday I may start to lower my expectations for the season

    Feeling good.

It is a satisfactory start, however I would disagree that we deserved to win purely on the first half when we could have been 2/3 goals down

Which team? Last season or this season?

I wouldn't say Ken Deluded has superior football knowledge to any one on this forum :thinking about:

Which team? Last season or this season?

Well actually in Norwoods second or third game here vs Leeds at H he was fantastic that night imo along with Nimely and completely controlled the game by himself He only misplaced 2 passes as they were mostly simple passes to Brown or inside to Jennings. I didn't think he was great at tackling...

line up now you have a look at most players

Come off it, there weren't that many long balls. We mostly played it out from the back unless under pressure. Also any long balls weren't high passes anyway, they were into chest or tried to be played behind the opposition full back for the striker to chase

Which team? Last season or this season?

Last season if we could have all the players at the same time i.e Norwood, Nimely with Juke If we are looking at it at any point in the season I don't think there is too much difference but I would still choose last seasons first team which we ended with and added depth to it.

Which team? Last season or this season?

I have seen Barton once and he was ineffective, to say he is an excellent player already is stretching it. From yesterdays showing alone Norwood is a lot better than Barton I hope Barton is an excellent player and am not making a judgement on him yet

    Diamonds are forever

I agree but if we try and play a forward/attacking pass and it goes wrong all our fans moan, the players confidence is shot and next time he will go for the safe square pass passing responsibility onto another player I think Baker suffered from this last night, in my eyes he was the player most...

    player ratings for tonight

I agree one thing I noticed last season was with the DM playing so deep we rarely win second ball from knock downs or loose balls around the midfield. The DM would be too deep and have to much ground to make up to win the ball Jennings stepping up a bit in the second half and his tenacity meant...

    Diamonds are forever

Then you leave a big gap in the middle for the opposition to play in as Jennings is too deep and Fleck too high. That is why 4-4-2 is preferred when playing with proper wide players Besides the point that Barton is a central midfielder and Kilbane is too slow to play as a proper wide player

    Diamonds are forever

The problem is passing forward means more likely to give away possession then loads of fans start jumping up and down screaming and getting on the players back

    Malaga

Obviously one was out of position but Malaga was about 10 times better than Brown

    Higher or lower

Yea but this was first home game of the season and the biggest side we will see out the Ricoh in the league which may have added a few on. Also I expect we may have around 800 less away fans
