The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Where’s the good news stories? You can’t debate the point so yet again you’re admitting defeat by attacking the man.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Of course I do. Of course I am. I have a different opinion to you therefore I can only be evil. You still haven’t said how good news for JLR or WTO is going to help workers at Ellesmere Port. Do you actually give a flying one about the workers or is it a price worth paying in your mind in the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

And how is that going to help workers in Ellesmere Port?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Ironically every brexit voter I know drives a brand new BMW or Mercedes. I’m not gloating, I’m concerned as we all should be. This story isn’t isolated to 1 Vauxhall factory, this is a story that is becoming commonplace all across the UK in manufacturing.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I think I’m glad I don’t work in Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Ports factory. Do you think Vauxhall’s workers will be able to take comfort in JLR’s exelent news?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It was only in June that it was announced that Ellesmere Ports future has been secured with a commitment to build the new Astra there. What’s changed in a month? You mean British Entrepreneurs like Dyson who’s building a car factory in Singapore which has a trade agreement with the EU?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It was only in June it was announced that the new Astra was going to be built in Ellesmere and used as a brexit Britain is open for business good news story. A little over a month later and a new PM and now the future of Ellesmere has gone from secure into in trouble. How is WTO going to stop that?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Hardly. I’m sure even you’re capable of working out that there’s a difference between a FTA and WTO terms. Despite pretending that there isn’t.

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

So why did Davis not understand that he couldn’t negotiate individual trade deals with individual EU countries? Why did Raab admit to having no understanding of how much trade traveled through Dover? Their brief has nothing to do with their understanding of brexit or what happens at the port of...

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

I see the duplicity of populism reared it’s head today. Boris in front of a Scottish audience dismissed Goves comments regarding no deal brexit only later to agree with them in a statement. Not even been in the job a week and the contradictionometer is already working overtime.

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

Well they clearly know fuck all so if you’re clinging onto what they have to say as some sort of barometer you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Now owned by a French owner. What incentive is there for a French car manufacturer to produce cars sold mainly in the EU in a no deal WTO brexit Britain? Especially when said owner has manufacturing plants all across the EU. Mini will be next.

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

Sounds about right. Probably why the divorce bill isn’t a fixed amount. I think on the Ugov website it refers to it as between £35-39B.

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

If that’s the terms of the transitional period then I’m sure you’re most likely correct. I remember reading that 75% of the divorce bill should be paid off by the end of the transitional period so 50% in the first year of the transitional period seems possible. IIRC trade wise nothing changes...

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

I’ve already told you how long the transitional period is, subject to extension in the post you’re replying to. Your latter question is actually a bit of an unknown quantity. At the moment we’re still contributing as fully paid up members and will be until a withdrawal agreement is passed by...

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

Again you are demonstrating how lost you are as article 50 is a process not a single act. The first part of that process once article 50 is triggered is to negotiate a withdrawal agreement. Article 50 is not open and shut in one day and contains several process over a 4year period excluding...

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

I never even remotely suggested any such thing. I in fact pointed out to you on a couple of occasions that once article 50 was enacted it was 18months and nearly 600 pages later the withdrawal agreement was ready for publication and presented to the commons for debate before being voted on. If...

What is going on with the Tory leadership contest?

We send £135M to the EU a week, let’s spend it on a pointless advertising campaign instead.

    Concern for the future

When the world becomes so polarised as it is things like this always grow especially on the right. You look at the majority of those who promoted brexit and look at their other views, climate change deniers, intolerance of other cultures, intolerant of religions other than Christianity, look at...

Vauxhall owner could move Astra production 'from UK' Didn’t exactly need a crystal ball to see this coming.
