    25/26 January Transfer Window

We don't set up with one target then pack it in if that doesn't work. The recruitment team will have a huge list I imagine, with it being tiered from most desirable to least.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Gus can play 6, 8 or 10 imo and as we've seen with Lampard so far, he often will have a different role for a player than what the player assumes is his best position - eg. Eccles not being a 6.

Match Thread Norwich City - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 26th Jan

Rushworth MvE Thomas Kitching JDS Torp Grimes Esse BTA EMC Wright This reminds me of when we played Leeds/Burnley at home last year during our great run. In that, during this resurgent run, they've beaten the sides you'd on the main expect them to beat/they're at a similar talent level as...

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

This is absolutely not how it works and £7m for a top 6 champ CM is basically the going rate. You can't neuter your recruitment in the summer should we go up by being scared about what happens if we come straight down.
  6. CCFC96

    Rushworth or Wilson

I think if we go up I would now definitely spend on him (mainly due to Dovin seemingly having a setback with his injury).
  7. CCFC96

    Rushworth or Wilson

I stand by my opinion that Dovin is also an excellent keeper and if he doesn’t tear his ACL we probably make the play-off final. People seem to have very short memories!

    Millwall Ratings

Rushworth - 7 - dealt with everything well, couldn’t do anything for the goal MvE - 6 - solid, link up with Esse will come with more games Lati - 6 - solid, but shaky at times but did the basics well. Kitching 6 - same as above (aside from when he tried to be prime Messi and we nearly conceded...

Rushworth MvE Woolf Kitching JDS Torp Grimes Esse Rudi EMC Simms Think Wolf is a better fit for this one than Lati. Could see Eccles starting over Torp given he’s just coming back from injury and wonder if we start Yang over EMC again to give a break as he was blowing late on Saturday...

    Championship thread 25/26!

We also had basically the same sort of Christmas period under Frank last year that was very up and down and then after, went on a great run. The way the squad is built is never sustainable for loads of games in a short period of time unfortunately but I see no reason why we don’t get back to...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I don’t even understand how you can criticise Doug. We’re now run like a proper operation, proper recruitment, training ground, match day experience, commercial partnerships. What are you even moaning about?
  12. CCFC96

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

Blues are attached to every rumour because it’s no secret their whole strategy is to throw money at it. If the leak comes from a club, it’s convenient to include a team like Blues because it triggers us to increase our transfer offer/loan fee, if it’s come from an agent then it’s to try and up...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I'd be perfectly happy with that for the run-in - strengthened where we absolutely need to. Anything else from here on out would be a bonus.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Top by 6 points but need 7 new players?! Best case is 4: LW, RW, 10, 6/8 Minimum is: 10 and LW or RW
  16. CCFC96

    Bottled it

It would definitely be harder next few years if we don't make it. However we're going up so who cares. I'd be a bit more worried if we were just churning out shite performances over the past month and losing 4-0 but it's been very fine margins. Reality is it'll likely swing back in our favour.

    10 more wins does it

Next league games for Boro: WBA (A) Stoke (A) PNE (H) Norwich (H) Sheff U (A) Cov (A) For us it's: Leicester (H) Millwall (H) Norwich (A) QPR (A) Oxford (H) Boro (H) For Ipswich: Blackburn (H) Bristol City (H) Sheff U (A) PNE (H) Derby (A) Hull (H) There's a world where the gap to boro is...

Match Thread Birmingham City - Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 4th Jan

I've seen some headloss on this forum in my time but jesus wept today takes the piss. We've dominated that game start to finish and been punished twice for defensive lapses and once rushworth has done poor. As I write this we're currently 8 points clear of 3rd (9 basically given goal difference)...

This game is very Derby - we’ve shaded the game, they’ve scored a couple of good goals on the transition from us turning it over stupidly. Just keep going the way we are and we’ll win this. Chances are there.
