If he left at the end of the season, they’d lose £1m. As for the figure, £600k is completely made up. The takeaway from my post is that Bayliss is worth more to us than Bright is to Wolves.

It’s a sellers market, Bright isn’t important to Wolves. He has one year left on his deal and Bayliss has 3 years left. I wouldn’t sell Bayliss for a penny less than his reported buy-out clause. In this context, yes. Note: I’d rather secure Bright.
