That’s our best sales pitch, if he resigns I think he’s going to score about 15+ goals and can earn a blockbuster move that way. This is clutching at straws though.

I’d be very surprised if he resigns, he’s been too successful in his loan spell! He probably only stays if we throw money at him and Robins really sells the club and convinced him we can get promotion. As other people pointed out, we’ve got to cling on to his comments that he feels ‘at home’...

    Targets for Next Season

Our number one priority is to keep Mark Robins. I trust he’ll sign the right players to take us to the next level.

No, just apologised on Twitter... I imagine a game like that is frustrating for him as well as us!

    Jones > Thomas

To be fair to Thomas, he’s straight up apologised for today and all the other chances he’s missed over the season. I rate the humility that took.

Enjoyed watching the game today, I thought we did well against a very good team away from home. We shouldn’t have lost that game, but we did because Portsmouth were more clinical than us. That’s why they’re 2nd and we’re 8th. Burge, 4 - shaky all game really. Sterling, 6 - did well on both...

You’re right, O’Brien as an example! A few people felt he was going to be a good GK after his first couple of games (myself included). An experienced GK, like Stockdale, seems like a logical choice because we have such an inexperienced side. The more leaders we can add, the better.

    Jones > Thomas

Thomas has been really good this year, so I don’t think it’s right the fans slate him now. He’s an exciting player in attack and has a really good work rate in defence and puts tackles in, his end product is lacking at times. But, at 19-20, being played on the right instead of his comfortable...

Agreed besides the Burge part. I just think it’s best for both parties for him to move on!

I agree, I’d prioritise a strong defence over a strong attack when trying to consolidate in a new league. We create enough chances to have scored a lot more than we actually have and that’s frustrating. If we can stop being so wasteful, we’ll be a playoff side next season. I don’t really get...

Both GKs made one save apiece. Having watched the highlights to reflect, how did Thomas not force a save for his second gilt-edged chance? Our finishing didn’t help, we had 9 shots, 2 on target compared to their 11 shots, 3 on target. Their GK nearly outdid Burge by rushing out unnecessarily...

I agree Fulop was an awesome GK, but Westwood was better in my opinion. For what it’s worth, I idolised Fulop as I was still playing football in goal at the time!

Davies cleared it off the line and I’m sure Portsmouth fans would’ve bemoaned that miss had they lost/drew. But, they didn’t and it’s not quite the same as missing an open goal from inside the box. If you know as much as you like to think about football, then you’d readily concede that had...

Partly because Thomas couldn’t hit the target when he was through on goal... Answer the question, should Thomas have scored the open goal opportunity in the first half to put us 2-0 up?

I’d agree with that statement for the final 20 minutes, not the 2nd half. I appreciate teams who threaten from set piece and Pompey and Luton do that well, they generated enough set piece to trouble us. Their 1st goal was their 1st shot on target and as a home team, only had 3 shots on target...

Simple question: should Thomas have scored that open goal? Yes or no. We had 3 clear cut chances today, that’s more than enough chances to at least get a draw away.
