    Best opposition player you've seen

Seeing Gianfranco Zola on TV tonight reminded me of a game at Highfield Rd where he showed what a wonderful player he was. I think it was the Cup game in 2001, we lost 2.0 and when he was substituted late on in the game he was given well deserved applause from the City fans. Not only was...

    Labovitch email

Labovitch must have known this would be published, I can only imagine he wants to cause a row so that the club can then have an excuse not to deal with the Trust any more.

    Get the message Sisu !!!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1083630/The-truth-modern-day-attendances-How-clubs-count-missing-fans.html Clubs have been inflating attendances for years. Crystal Palace (I think) used to record 20,000 for games in the 90's when there were far fewer there. There were many...

Do You Remember Doyle & Hughes?

I think Oggy has won the European Cup twice.

Match Thread: Port Vale 16 March 2014

Grendel, since you've started going we've been terrible. Do the decent thing and leave now.

Match Thread: Port Vale 16 March 2014

I wouldn't really wish a defeat, but if there is little entertainment on show, hopefully this will put people of going to future games.

Hopefully a boring 0:0, but I'll go for 2:2, Wilson with both, and both from long balls over the top.

Coventry City Fc Crest Redesign (University Project) Part 2

Prefer no. 2, the first one is a bit too dark for me. There's clearly a lot of clever 12 year olds around Cov judging by some of the comments. Good luck with the project.

    Sixfield attendees 2014/2015 Season

Turnover was obviously up due to the Olympics, but how much did they have to pay to host it? It would seem to be a lot and this could be the main reason that profit was down. ACL are stating that whilst hosting the Olympics they couldn't hold other events, that makes sense. In the early years...

    Disapointing Signings

I think he was only on loan, but I'm confused by Leon Barnett's career. Seemed a terrible player, West Brom paid a lot for him but loaned him out, he got a few games for Norwich but they let him go, popped up at Cardiff for a few games, now gets a trip to Wembley for a FA Cup semi with Wigan.

    Favourite ever sky blue experience?

5:2 away at Blackburn 1993. Just watched it back on YouTube, went one down then a great comedy own goal to get us back to 1:1, a screamer by Lee Hurst to give an undeserved half time lead. Just after half time John 'he's so fast it's unbelievable' Williams makes up 20 yards to beat the keeper to...

FA Cup Final 87 Flag? help?

I have the same flag, it started off a shiny blue, I think even back then it had a slight purple tinge, but over the years the blue has turned more to purple.

Some of the interest has been accrued, but much of it has been paid out. I estimate about £500k, but I haven't seen the cashflow statement. If accounts talk wasn't boring everyone to tears then I would ask what makes you think ARVO is the only creditor, but I think I'll leave it there.

The Group has made a loss, interest has been paid out. What are these refunds you suggest?

Why wouldn't SISU's investors want a return for putting in the money to get a stadium built? £1.8m charged in 12/13, I say charged, ML might say fleeced in other circumstances.

    Time for Plain Speaking

The club were at the Ricoh for a long time whilst not paying the rent, I'm pretty sure the topic would have been raised, whilst they were talking/negotiating/having confrontation the rent could/should have been lowered. ACL were too slow off the mark to realise what SISU were up to, as were...

    Mark Labavitch

OSB's excellent review of the accounts listed around £240k for 'Directors services', maybe his costs are in there. The more observant amongst us will note that that is more than the rent offers, I know which one I'd have spent the money on.

To the offers they are making now. If they had reduced it more sooner then it would have prevented a lot of the arguments we have on here, so that would be a great benefit on its own, but also because SISU would have lost a lot of the arguments they presented to the FL as excuses to leave.

    Time for Plain Speaking

I'd agree with that, it's a shame ACL didn't see it coming as if they had they may have reduced the rent sooner, and that may, (only may) have stopped all that has followed.
