The new ground

Lets take Fisher on his word for a moment (difficult I know), but he said the new ground would be nearer to town than the Ricoh. The Ricoh is about 3.3 miles from Broadgate. A 3.3 mile radius around Broadgate looks like this Now on that the only place not under CCC within the radius is...

    Nene Park - Reality?

I thought the 30 miles thing was something said by Fisher? The league as always have said nothing on this issue.

I don't want to support SISU - but i don't want to kill CCFC either...

I dont think the club will die. No one wants that, its more about forcing sisu into realising its game over for them. Someone will always buy us.

    Sisu's Thinking...

    The bigger picture

Fans? Don't you mean customers?

    Sisu's Thinking...

Well regardless of whether its Brandon or not, it certainly wont be in Coventry. If this mythical stadium goes ahead, the Ricoh will most certainly be transformed into a pure exhibition centre. With something like that on its doorstep this new stadium wont be able to compete...

    Sisu's Thinking...

You mean all the concerts and conferences? Why would someone like Bruce Springsteen play in a 12k in Brandon when he could be playing to a 40k well proven stadium in a large British city? The new stadium will make no money.

    If ever something demonstrates.....

The councils attitude to business is about making money? Perhaps they could tutor Ccfc?

    Why aren't Cov there?

<p> Also agree, im proud to be from here. Ironically the people who usually slag Coventry off are chavs, they themselves dont realise they are the main problem!

They wont get any sponsorship money next year anyway.

    Why aren't Cov there?

Surely a cultural award is more for what has city has done, rather than what it looks like? In proportion to its size Coventry must have given the world more than any other UK city?

Coventry building society pull the plug on ccfc deal

Why would the Cov building society be trading with a non trading property subsidiary?

    Why aren't Cov there?

Until the Germans and the council planning department got their hands on it Coventry was comparable with York. Why are Leicester in there?

    Why aren't Cov there?

Larkin said that Hull was Coventry on Sea. He clearly held Hull in the same regard as his home town. He was a typical upper class intellectual.

At which point do you personally switch off CCFC and to what degree?

In cricket terms it is in Warwickshire. A better analogy would be how many would go and watch them play in Worcestershire?

At which point do you personally switch off CCFC and to what degree?

Why would they? Edgbaston is in the traditional county of Warwickshire.

    Away

Away ones I think will be around the same. People who only want to go to away games will replace the ones lost through worse results & novelty of new grounds wearing off.
