Accepting selling players being a reality of our position, I don't get why Boddy (and Robins) are so open about it? Fancy giving away your bargaining position by implying that it is necessary to sell an asset this summer. The message it sends to buyers and the player themselves is not good.

I get pretty annoyed at the way Boddy uses the term "investment" to describe using the club's turnover to maintain or improve facilities. It is misleading.

This is interesting. I think it's fair to say after the early days and the care home catastrophe the government has done reasonably ok

There is no quid pro quo with SISU. The message to the fans is "Buy season tickets or the club will not be successful. In return we'll sell the club's best players in order to keep the club operating and enabling extraction of interest to be paid to the owners. The owners of the club have no...

Looking at the answer to Q1 and the one discussing the target to increase the number of season ticket holders from the historic high this season. It feels almost like emotional blackmail. Trying to get people to buy them now before they flog a prized asset later. Boddy just seems like a yes man.

Once again the councillors look like the stupid opportunist twats being given the run around by the officers, very familiar

I'd suggest the opposition team not putting away their chances and making a basic defensive error played a far more decisive role

    USSR invades Ukraine.

I think what's clear (and the same will apply to other military powers) is that nobody can afford to invest the amount of money you need to maintain the sort of firepower people like to imagine you've got, it's just impractical, and, in any case, there will be money being creamed off all over...

I'm amazed at how people think 'shithousery' is somehow the key to any success.

In fairness I don't think continued drops was ever going to sustain, there is still a decent chunk of the population who are 'naive' to the virus and a third of the population have had no booster. There is probably quite a lot of waning as well now in the priority groups

    Sheff Utd Allocation

Can't stand it, I've always thought they come across as really small-time despite them being a relatively big, well supported club. That said, any of their fans I've met personally have been sound as Sheffield people usually are in my experience.

    Summer recruitment

Robins' record overall is very good, Leon Clarke in his first spell and McNulty, Godden, Gyokeres in his second have all been decent.

Like I've said he's looked a bit heavy and awkward in movement so maybe / hopefully (if it is easily sorted) this is the reason

What the fuck is a "midfield general" and how have you named Lansbury who has started 40% of the matches he's been involved with as that? [emoji1782]

He can be poor but tbf to him he does put at least one great ball in a game, can't say the same about Maatsen who for all his athleticism and enthusiasm makes poor choices most of the time. His crossing is wank.

He was the pick of the front 3 if that's what you'd call them, but that isn't saying much.

Just hoping Everton and Burnley are relegated tbh. Blackburn not to get promoted and Wigan to come up, jobs a good 'un for us north west based fans.
